San Ignacio Resort Hotel

Super SUPER friendly staff, too many to name but super helpful staff, very accommodating. Grounds were even prettier in person. Food at the restaurant was great. Iguana tour didn’t disappoint. Shout out to JoAnna, Julia, William and Alejandro. They made our trip super fun! Highly recommend!

This nicely appointed hotel has a beautiful jungle setting, an excellent restaurant, and friendly staff. Close to important Mayan sites, it is the perfect place to visit them and relax after a strenuous day.

Highly recommend this sweet gem of a hotel. From start to finish the staff here make you feel like family, it was such a unique and incredible experience. I highly recommend the restaurant and bar - ask for Elito, Noelia, and Ceasar . Take the critter night tour with Santos and make sure you check out the Iguana project too! A quick and safe walk into town and easy pickup for local excursions. The birds in the morning at the restuarant are remarkable and the staff are always so informative on the local biodiversity - it made my stay so much more memorable.

We stayed as a family of 5 in one of the suites and it was perfect with young children. It had two pullout couches, one was more comfortable than the other, but our 5-year old slept just fine on it! The staff were great and extremely friendly and helpful our whole trip! Freddy at check in was super nice, and Alejandro with concierge was also extremely helpful. The best was Edvin- he took care of us and our kids continuously complimented how nice he was! While staying here, we did the iguana project and kids and adults really enjoyed it. It is small, and perfect for a short tour. We also did the Xunantunich and Big Rock Falls with Cruz. Cruz was so knowledgeable and passionate about the Mayan history. We chose to do the Calico Jack zipline tour also. Our kids loved this trip! It was a little expensive, and definitely didn’t have the safety standards you would find in the States, but never felt unsafe and guides were patient and kind. Both our girls (5 and 7) did tandem zipline the entire time with them. Overall great resort and would recommend again!

The staff are incredibly welcoming and helpful. Carmencita and Miss Perla at the front desk and Ulises at the bar were more than just accommodating, they went above and beyond to provide information and make sure we had everything we could possibly need!

We had the pleasure of staying at the San Ignacio Resort on Friday and Saturday evenings as they graciously hosted the Belize Wildlife Clinic Annual Gala. From the reservation to the check out every staff member was outstanding! They greet you with a smile and are very attentive to your every need or question. Definitely do the Iguana tour at the resort and be sure to have at least a few meals at the resort as their food is amazing! Get the avocado toast for breakfast and your tastebuds will thank you! The location is perfect for navigating San Ignacio (not easy as there is little to no parking other than the resort). Rooms are beautifully decorated and super clean with every amenity you could want. The entire resort is peaceful with a very serene calming atmosphere. And, the true kind attitude of every staff member will make you feel right at home!

We went with my wife to celebrate my birthday, and everything start well, the staff was very nice, they gave us a property tour, also a complementary iguana tour, and that was fantastic, the restaurant on site is delicious. Concierge arrange a tour to go to Flores in Guatemala, unfortunately I had to cancel it, but they were very diligent with it. Our room had an outside plunge pool and that was the best. I woke up little bit early 1 day (08:00a.m) and I saw a tucan outside of my room. Great place 100% recommended. Thanks to Front Desk for that happy birthday message.

Loved my stay, always make me feel at home and they were very accommodating and um glad the hotel is wheelchair friendly. Staff is amazing super friendly and professional. Everyone greeted us and the breakfast was outstanding 👌 our server Mr catalan was attentive and ensured that we were enjoying our meal.

This was a lovely resort and I would recommend it to anyone wanting to stay in the Cayo district for cave tours, ruins, etc. I love that you get the feel of being in the jungle, but still an easy walk into town (San Ignacio). The rooms were very comfortable with full modern amenities, including wireless phone charging, cable TV, and high speed internet. Many resorts in Belize don’t have air conditioning. The rooms at San Ignacio Resort, however, have A/C that’s so heavy duty it will turn your room into the arctic circle if you have it on full blast. The hotel staff were always happy to make us dinner reservations and arrange taxis into town. The hotel restaurant was very good, but we also highly recommend Guava Limb in town. Cave activities can really get your clothes dirty, and the hotel offers same-day laundry which was amazing. We used it twice! Finally, it was my birthday, and they helped my partner arrange a custom cake delivered to our room. It was such a nice surprise, and above and beyond expectations.
