San Ignacio Resort Hotel

The staff was done of the friendliest from any hotel we have ever been to. Everyone is super kind and helpful. The rooms are nice as well and they offer many activities you can book. It is a short walk from town too.

Staff were not attentive. Had multiple issues. We are vegetarians with limited to no vegetarian food options on the menu. Food is expensive. One morning we ordered avocado toast without bacon jam, the staff served us toast with the bacon jam. Had issues with tv in the room, had to complain two days in a row before they fixed it on third day. Yeah the location is walkable to everything else in San Ignacio but there isn’t much in San Ignacio to do anyways. At times staff were kind of rude too. Husband fell sick and we asked for some medication, every time they gave Tylenol or ibuprofen, they would say it’s a dollar, it’s not free multiple times. We get it, they could just bill it without having to repeat it so many times. We could have stayed in hostel right next door and have had same experience for much letter price.

We spent our first 3 nights in Belize at this hotel, and it was exceptional. Every staff member went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. Our room provided a comfortable bed, great shower, and a nice patio area complete with hammock. We ended up eating all our meals in the hotel restaurant after the first excellent dinner. I prearranged our airport transfers with the hotel, as well as booking tours of Xunantunich and Barton Creek Cave (canoeing) in advance; our drivers, Santos and Ben, and guide Carlos were all fantastic. The hotel's Green Iguana Project is well worth a visit too. I absolutely recommend this place and would happily stay here again if we come back to Belize.

We had a wonderful stay at San Ignacio Resort Hotel. The property is a charming boutique hotel with a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The staff was exceptionally friendly and attentive, always going out of their way to make us feel comfortable. The rooms were beautiful, the grounds were peaceful, and the entire experience felt personal and relaxed. Highly recommend for anyone visiting San Ignacio!

Friendly and helpful staff arranged our excursions and meals. Any requests were handled immediately and efficiently The resort is conveniently located, walking distance to the town and restaurants. Don’t hesitate to stay here and enjoy true Belizian hospitality!

Our review is for the restaurant and the tours given by the hotel. We did not stay there on this occasion. The hotel is beautiful and well kept and the staff were very friendly and came to know us. The restaurant overlooks the pool and the jungle and was very elegant. The food was delicious and well prepared every time. The prices were quite reasonable for such a nice restaurant. They offer many interesting tours that are open to everyone. We did the Iguana conservation tour, and the Mayan fish cooking (amazing and done over an open fire in the jungle). We ran out of time or we would have done more of them.

Can't imagine a more special place in San Ignacio! The staff was terrific. We in particular greatly appreciated Noelia for all she did for us. The Concierge, Jorge, and his colleagues arranged great tours of Mayan ruins. Food in the restaurant was excellent. Got addicted to the fry jacks! And any easy walk into town. A small town, but a few places to drink, eat and shop.

I live in the area and needed to go to an event nearby the resort. I didn't want to drive the 25 minutes back to my house in the dark, so I booked a night at my favorite -- San Ignacio Resort! I was greeted warmly and my room was so nice. I had a drink at the bar and the staff there are very pleasant to talk with. I got to have a luxurious shower and a rest before my event and I toyed with the idea of not even going to the event because the bed was so comfortable. Ha! It's always my local "go-to" for lodging.
