DoubleTree by Hilton Edinburgh - Queensferry Crossing

Very nice stay apart from charging for the carpark and the tax on the final amount!

Room was very spacious and had a lovely view of the Queensferry crossing very peaceful considering its located next to a busy bridge , was pet friendly my dog loved the dog treats that they have and would of eaten them all given the chance , staff where friendly and helpful to , the shower was amazing I could have stayed in there forever breakfast was lovely and they have a great selection of items and my dog even enjoyed relaxing in the dog friendly area of the restaurant.

Stripped the bed before I left as I find doing this can be helpful for house keeping staff but noticed the mattress topper was all stained which was a bit disappointing and a little disappointing that’s there is no extras in the room like complementary bottles of water given that’s £100 plus a night this would be a little nicer to have.

Good location, clean hotel, comfortable bed.

Our flight had been delayed incoming to Edinburgh so we decided to break our journey here before heading home north bound. We arrived after midnight and was checked in by a member of staff who lacked any warmth or customer connection. I go out of my way to engage with staff as I know their jobs are difficult so I didn’t really appreciate this. No cookie either, in fact no engagement at all. We were allocated Room 104 on the ground floor. It was cold. I put the room heating on up to 24 degrees. After 30 minutes no difference so I slept in my clothes. The room was well worn and the net curtains had black marks on them. It needs upgrading. I did not bother advising reception of my dissatisfaction when I left as my experience at check in was poor. Not recommended.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, even though it was just for one night. We had requested a room with a view of the bridge as an anniversary treat, and the hotel delivered — we were delighted. The room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable. In the morning, we were given a lovely breakfast table overlooking the bridge. Breakfast was fantastic, with plenty of choice for everyone. We will definitely be back. The location is perfect. You can walk across the bridge into South Queensferry, and it was very easy to get the bus to and from Edinburgh Bus Station. As we arrived by train, public transport was our only option, but everything was simple and convenient. We would definitely recommend this hotel.

It would have been nice to have a bottle of water in the room, especially as there was a fridge to keep it cold, but this was only a small detail in an otherwise excellent stay.
