Good location

Pillows, room size, overpriced for this type of hotel - many other options with better quality and better price. Smell of fresh paint. AC was having issue from time to time (reported to FO team at check out).

This was my first trip back to Luang Prabang in 14 years so I was anxious to see the changes since my last trip. I had previously stayed at the Villa Sante, but this time my operator selected Homm Souvannaphoum, formerly the private home of Prince Souvanna Phouma. He chose well. The hotel is exquisite with French architectural features. My room was large, well appointed and quiet. The front desk staff was very efficient and helpful. I only stayed for two nights so my experience was limited for the dining room. However, the breakfast buffet was embellished with many offerings both Lao and western choices. My only suggestion concerns the breakfast area itself. While I was there, a large group was allowed to conduct morning stretch to amplified music in the dining area. While this may appeal to some guests, it distracted from the peaceful atmosphere. The hotel might consider relocating this type of activity to a separate space, so that the dining experience remain relaxing for everyone. This is only my opinion and I certainly do not blame the hotel or their staff. Overall, this was an amazing stay worthy of my five star review. KZFung

A truly magical stay in Luang Prabang. The hotel is a beautiful heritage property—the former residence of a prince—and you can really feel that history in the architecture and the tranquil garden setting. It feels like a serene oasis while still being just a short walk from the heart of the town and the night market. Highly recommended for anyone looking for charm, history, and peace.

Swimming pool, garden, room, breakfast

Beautiful colonial building once the residence of the Prince, attentive staff, divine pool and extensive private gardens. Room was comfortable and had everything we needed.

Room was very clean and comfortable overlooking the garden. Heat and pressure in the shower was great. Pool was clean and lovely to swim in. Obvious colonial feel to the style and design of the hotel give it a lot of charm. Location is great - 5 minutes to the Mekong, night markets, heaps of cafes and restaurants all within short walking distance. Buffet breakfast included proper bacon and fried tomatoes.

Fabulous choice for a stay in Luang Prabang.

Very nice place to stay when in Lang Prabang. Idéaly situated near the city centre in a peaceful garden with beautiful swimming pool. Place to relax and enjoy. Staff is 100% kind and provide very good service and help to suggest what to do and to see. It is very convient to borrow free of charge a bicycle from the hotel. 5 min walk from the night market et main shopping and restaurants area. I will come back in this hotel with no hésitation

Swimming in the pool for hours, the food was delicious especially the fried rice, the beds are very comfy and the aircon is very nice, the layout of the hotel is very nice and very beautiful incorporating key details from Lao and modern culture, they do a lot of Lao cultural activities where you get to experience the joys of their beliefs.
