The hotel is a short walk to the Centre of Luang Prabang. The staff were wonderful. A special thanks to the manager Victor who looked after us during our five night stay. Rooms are very comfortable and nicely decorated. Good swimming pool which is well maintained.

Property is a little tired in common areas.

Solid mid-tier (by high standards) hotel with convenient location and nice pool.

Slightly dated. Had to organize my daily activities outside hotel (local agency nearby will do custom trips to avoid the mass-tourism arriving by the thousands in the newly built fast train from China).

Room was spacious, the tv reception wasn’t as great but still able to watch. Breakfast was good and staff are friendly and helpful. Not far from all the activities

I wouldn’t say didn’t like but recommend you have pool towels near the bar if there isn’t any so guests don’t have to ask.

I’m madly in love with the hotel and town.

The whole hotel is very clean, quiet and serene. The property is well maintained and safe. It is in a really good location for main sightseeing in Luang Prabang such as the morning Alms Giving (a short 5-10 min walk away), Mount Phousi, night markets, evening river cruises. It is also walking distance to plenty of restaurants, cafes and places to get a drink. Our room had a good sized bathroom with bath and shower. The shower water pressure was very good. The bed was very comfortable and there was Aircon and a fan. The pool area is nice and relaxing and there is a bar very close to be able to get drinks and snacks as you laze by the pool. The water in the pool was clean, and the lounges are comfortable. There are pool umbrellas which are needed in the hot afternoon sun. Breakfast area is lovey - overlooking the pool. The range of food available for breakfast included western style foods (omelets, eggs, bacon, sausages) and some salads and fruits, as well as some Asian breakfast options.

As the breakfast area looks over the pool, there is no swimming before 10am, Or after 7pm. No gym.

This was my second stay at Maison Souvannaphoum. Well appointed rooms, great location, beautiful gardens and attentive, friendly staff. Relaxation starts as soon as you arrive.
