The Westin Bear Mountain Resort & Spa, Victoria

The greeter was such a delight! He made our stay so memorable! The hotel was lovely. It has every romantic getaway must-haves checked. Its in the quieter side of Victoria, so you have to travel 40 minutes farther away from downtown, but it was worth it nevertheless. The hotel suites were spacious and very comfortable. It even has a wide balcony that lets you view a wide range of nature. The room service staff were very friendly and attentive.

Elevators were sketchy and would move before the door closes. The spa wasn’t open for my stay had to go into town to the ymca, wish they had a pool or sauna on site. We went into town more then stay around the resort which I didn’t think was worth the cost.

Quite disappointed….filming right below our window on Monday starting at 8 am - noisy. No handicapped parking - reserved for film crew and I am 2 months out from major cancer surgery and had a long walk to park my truck every time. Overcharged fr parking..both rooms we booked were charged for parking and we only had one vehicle..$80 seems a bit excessive for parking for one night

The staff is awesome, but be aware you don't get Marriot bonvoy points if you book thru Expedia. The rooms are neat and clean though are definitely showing some wear and tear, grout tiling cracking, baseboards scuffed, art work soiled. You will have to travel into town to use the YMCA to go swimming, even tho the is a pool on site. I heard it's available for $50 a day. But wasn't offered

Bear Mountain is a great resort to stay at. Staff are friendly. The rooms are nice. Just wish there was shopping in the area. Had to drive 30 minutes to downtown where everything is at. Shopping, bar and great food areas.

This is one of the best hotels I have stayed so far. Would definitely recommend.

Great stay

Horrible experience as Marriott Titanium guest and management did not care. 1) Room cleanliness and Hygiene: a) My daughter found a bunch of hairs in the bedding when she slept in her sofa bed. That left her with a gross feeling. Given that was the first impression, we calmed her down and let the first night go. There were water stains on the coffee table which further added to the grossness feeling for our family. b) I was promised next day will be better housekeping. I walked out of the shower after returning on next day evening. The first towel I lift seemed like a cleaning rag with dirty brown stains on it. I am glad I did not let it touch my body before noticing (pic attached). THIS IS TERRIBLE and I don't believe the hotel paid any attention to cleanliness on the property. 2) Maintenance issues: a) Bathroom faucet slow - when we used master bath in the morning, the faucet was hardly flowing. It was very irritating to get the water flow and it made very difficult for us to get ready in the morning. I don't know why they would think something like this would be appropriate for a guest. I have attached the video. b) We complained and the faucet was fixed but my main bathroom latch was broken, this is never ending. My family could not take a peaceful, private bath and it was a very irritating experience for us. 3) Hair in the food - this was the final blow to our stay when our breakfast came with hair strands ... it sums everything up that this hotel does not care for hygiene at all. In the end, our experience was this was a big old, unmaintained resort which charged pricing per Westin brand but management did not care to take care of hygiene or guests
