Kasa Cadillac Square Detroit

We are completing our stay here. Our room had a completely broken sofa sleeper that was old and bent. The room was clean but glass tables all smeared and not presenting well. We are departing a night early as one family member can’t stay here comfortably. I reached out to a please staff member via text but they offered no accommodation for the issue after supplying pictures and details. I’d avoid the property.

Gut gelegen, schönes großes Apartment

Conveniently located to the convention center, restaurants, attractions, and shopping. Safe, clean, and everything you need, especially for a long-term trip.

I stayed at this hotel for two nights with family and friends while visiting Detroit. The location is fantastic — walking distance to downtown, the waterfront, restaurants, shopping, and bars. The front desk and hotel staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, which made check-in and getting oriented in the city a breeze. That said, there were a few serious concerns. During our first hour in the room, my friend and I received a message saying that the noise sensors in our room indicated we were too loud — despite only having a normal conversation. We later realized the room had multiple noise sensors, which felt unusual and unsettling. The following day, even with more people in the room at similar conversation levels, there were no alerts, so it seemed inconsistent and clearly the weird sensors were broken. Additionally, the shower had noticeable ceiling damage, which was concerning given the cost of the stay — $750 for two nights felt high for the experience. Outside the hotel, we encountered aggressive panhandling, which was uncomfortable, and there was a strong police presence around the building both nights. The combination of these factors made the area feel a bit uneasy despite the central location. The presence of the police made it feel very unsafe I would not recommend staying here. Overall, while the staff and location were excellent, I would recommend caution and hope the management addresses the noise sensors and room maintenance issues.

Everything was great

I did like that it was a like a furnished studio apartment. I was traveling on a budget, so it's nice to have a full kitchen to make a few meals in. The lighting in the bathroom was really good. It probably made me delusional about how youthful I looked!

I've noticed a lot of people complain about noise when they stay at hotels, etc. This is located in downtown Detroit, so there is street noise. That was not a problem for me at all. To me it's part of visiting a busy city, but if someone needs complete silence to sleep, they should be aware of this.
