Brookside Motor Inn

The room was clean; however, everything was very old and rickety. Could hear people up above loudly. We never saw any staff at all. We were only there for one night. as a couple of ice climbers, it worked out fine and convenient to Keene climbing, but I don't think my wife would have liked it. Enjoyed the sound of the river right outside the window and was very reasonably priced. With a little effort i.e., paint, furniture, minor carpentry, could be a really nice spot. Would stay there again.

The rooms are HUGE! Lots of updates in the works. Quaint and accessible with lots of amenities in the suites. The road is quiet and the brook out back was a delightful surprise. We will definitely be back. We did not see any staff, all self directed check in, so if you generally need a lot of support when staying places, this isn’t the one for you. If you like privacy and quiet, definitely book!

I decided to take a last minute two night trip to Lake Placid. I was looking for something affordable that was close enough to do some hikes, check out the main area of Lake Placid. The motel fit the bill for me as a place to sleep. It was clean, and it was what I expected. The furniture is older, it has a rustic smell. But it worked well for me. Location was probably the best part about the place for me. Checking in was convenient too as they text you your door entry code. I would stay again on a solo trip.

Very clean! Real at home feeling! Everything you could possibly need! Definitely would recommend!

Location was great for the hiking we had planned. Check in was easy, a code to the door was text to us. Great water pressure.

Room definitely outdated. Could use some TLC. We did not use the laundry so I can not comment on that. We did not communicate with the staff so no judgement there. We could tell the upper rooms had some ac units because when we opened the back door the were dripping down in. We would have loved an ac unit or even an available outlet to plug in the fan that was provided. The ones near the "kitchen" area were all loose and I did not trust them to plug anything in and the others were being used. All in all we had a fine visit it really was more about the location for us but I don't know that I would recommend this place to others. We are pretty low key so for us it was fine and we would even consider staying agin.

Quaint little hotel! Loved how big the space was, and it was close to everything. The stream behind the hotel made for a relaxing sleep, and it was wonderful having an oven for an occasional frozen pizza!

The bed was amazingly comfortable and the room was spacious. The place was extremely clean. It's a beautiful spot in a quaint little village and there's some great dining spots nearby. The only drawback is it's a very outdated motel. I know the owners are slowly redoing a lot of the rooms so it will improve with time. However, it's a great spot for the money and we will be back.

This is an older motel well renovated and clean. The kitchen had all necessary appliances and other kitchen ware. There was a place to put a toiletry kit beside the sink . . . rare these days.

Not a complaint bet as with almost all places to stay there could have been more hooks and shelves for our "stuff".
