"A stay back in time."

The whole place was so beautiful and quaint. We really felt like we stepped back in time. It's so nice to have a breakfast offered as part of a night's stay. Our dinner was delicious. We had the plank whitefish and chicken with morels. Coffee was available all the time. The bed was comfy with comfy linens.

The window A/C didn't seem to be working well but fortunately it cooled down overnight enough so we opened a window. The shower was sooooo small and we understand there is only so much you can do to update a historical property but the shower head must have been installed by a short person. At 6-feet, it's hard to bend in a narrow space to get my hair wet. Also, my wife could have used more hooks/shelving in the bathroom for her accessories.

We stayed a year ago and had a wonderful hot breakfast every morning of our stay, with many choices, it was so good---that made us book again this year. Breakfast should not be advertised. The price of our room did not reflect the change. We were very disappointed--- Muffins, rolls and fruit is nothing to boast about. (not even milk) There are many locations to stay at in Petoskey ----but we were so happy with our stay last year we did not even look elsewhere. The BIG Beautiful Breakfast was the bonus, very disappointed they took it away.
