Hotel Trident Poseidon

This hotel is so cute clean beds are so soft and it was our favorite out of our whole trip staff was very friendly and helpful with all of our questions we even came back up from the coast to stop by one more time to eat in their restaurant which was so good

Great Local Spot, Friendly Staff, Great Food

Great spot for a group of buddies looking for fun in the sun. It's near the casinos (but there's no gambling commission, so player beware) Nice, but small pool. Close to beach. Strong AC. Decent bar and free breakfast.

I couldn't wait for the night to be over

We booked this place for my son and his friend and Im giving their view here. Nice staff at restaurant where the food was very good. The cleaning of the room was a disaster, they didnt change sheets in beds, they where sandy even after cleaning and they found a sandal under their bed belonging to a former guest after 6 nights stay at the hotel. Imaging the cleaniness under the beds. Did they change towels twice? during 6 nights stay, thats no good considering you have to shower twice a day sometimes in the heat. I asked on behalf of the boys to change their so called costarican style continental breakfast to something else, cheaper local style, for example, that was not at all possible to change, which is a very greedy and unflexible reaction from the staff at the reception. All we could get was 20 % discount if we dont take the one included and choose another. Thats no good deal at all. Besides the hotel management demanded payment in advance which is against hotels.com rules and I had to contact hotels.com and they had to manage this so we could pay at hotel. Location is absolutely downtown Jacó if you like the nightlife.

We chose the Poseidon based on location and price. The room was clean upon arrival. There were 2 AC units and only one of them worked. One was sufficient and kept the room cool. hot water in the unit did not work, but after informing the staff, it was fixed. Continental breakfast of fruit, bread and coffee was enough for me, but the misses opted for something off the menu. We did not have other meals there but the restaurant was always pretty busy. The Staff were all friendly and helpful. Bottom line is good location, and value and with the staff as friendly and helpful as they were, we would be happy to stay there again.

The hotel is within walking distance to just about everything. Hotel staff was pleasant and helpful.

It was a great location with the beach and bars near by. Cool shops and the food at the hotel was great. The hotel conditions were fine, not luxurious at all but it was just what we were needing. Cheaper than other places. We enjoyed the pool as well.

Room 2 downstairs 1. A/c didnt work as remote malfunction ,all night sweat 2. Shower head blocked hardly any water came out 3 Towels had huge holes in them Was planning to spend two nights but checked out Hugely overpriced for such a basic place
