Capitán Suizo Beachfront Boutique Hotel

Spent 9 days at the hotel. The natural setting, well designed rooms and very clean. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Food was good and the concierge was great in getting us set up with day excursions. Fantastic massages at the spa!

Everyone at the hotel was amazing! We loved every minute of our stay here. It was so relaxing and the location was fantastic!

After spending three wonderful nights at the world-class Nayara Resort in La Fortuna, Costa Rica, we drove to the Pacific coast for a five-night stay at the W Hotel in Reserva Conchal. Unfortunately, the experience was so disappointing that we decided to check out four days early and look for alternative accommodations online. That’s when we came across Capitan Suizo Hotel in Tamarindo, and what a pleasant surprise it was! This charming, Swiss-owned beachfront resort turned out to be nothing short of perfection. The atmosphere at Capitan Suizo is both understated and elegant, offering excellent value for the level of amenities provided. The hotel is impeccably maintained, with lush, beautiful grounds and outstanding service that makes you feel special from the moment you arrive until the moment you leave. We stayed in a beachfront bungalow just steps from the ocean. The bungalow was beautifully furnished, featuring a private Jacuzzi, an outdoor shower, and a raised canopy bed. Floor-to-ceiling windows offered stunning views of the Pacific Ocean, making mornings truly unforgettable. We enjoyed our complimentary breakfast just steps from our bungalow, which was a delightful way to begin each day. The staff at Capitan Suizo were exceptional, providing warm and attentive service throughout our stay, from check-in to check-out. If you’re planning a visit to Tamarindo, Capitan Suizo Beachfront Hotel is the only place to stay. We highly recommend it!

I had an incredible experience at Capitan Suizo! From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warmth and genuine friendliness by the staff. The level of service here is exceptional; everyone goes out of their way to ensure your stay is comfortable and enjoyable. The employees are not only professional but also incredibly personable, always ready to assist with a smile. Whether it was offering recommendations, helping with special requests, or simply engaging in friendly conversation, the staff made me feel right at home. I can’t recommend Capitan Suizo enough for anyone looking for a place with outstanding service and a truly welcoming .

This was my favorite hotel to stay at in Costa Rica. It is a little out of downtown area which makes it quiet and relaxing. The staff was very friendly, the breakfast in the morning was awesome, the dinner at night on the beach was very relaxing, and the animals that you see at the hotel are amazing. I can't wait to get back.

A beautiful property on the beach. Great swimming options right outside of the hotel. Loved that it was walkable into town but very quiet on this end of the beach. The staff are very friendly and approachable. A really nice place to stay.

The staff was very warm and attentive to any needs. The property is nothing short of beautiful…iguanas, geckos, and howler monkeys throughout the beautiful grounds.
