Capitán Suizo Beachfront Boutique Hotel

Such a wonderful place! Private, special property with amazing staff, excellent and affordable food, delicious drinks- right on the beach! A full buffet breakfast is included with homemade bread - made at the hotel- inlet station and fresh local fruits. A nice cool pool and gardens with fruit trees, that encourage Costa Rican Wildlife (howler monkeys!) to live. My husband and I had a wonderful time staying at Capitan Suiza with an easy walk into Tamarindo to visit other restaurants, a fun night life, and surfing lessons! Concierge will book trips and let you rent beach equipment (snorkels, surfboards,etc) along with a little library, board games, outdoor pool table and ping pong! Room was gorgeous, clean, comfy beds, and large bathroom. Our only regret is not staying longer! We will be coming back for sure!

The hotel was lovely and the staff was kind and attentive. It was very relaxing and we loved the cats.

This was a really beautiful property, the location to the beach was amazing! The grounds were stunning as well! The staff was friendly and very helpful! It was nice to have the option to check out boogie boards right at the hotel, or you can rent surfboards right there as well. Our transportation to our next location didn't come until 3 hours after check out and they allowed us keep our luggage in a secure location and even had showers available if we wanted! This was a beautiful property!

The Capitán Suizo is a special hotel located in Tamarindo. Its location and accommodations are wonderful. The staff is amazing and makes you feel so welcome. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone considering staying in this area and plan on returning again soon.

Amazing hotel, beautiful rooms, great staff.

We stayed at a few hotels in the area. This hotel was the best by far, especially because of the staff. The rooms are excellent also but the staff are amazing.

This is a beautiful hotel nestled in nature. The rooms were comfortable and classy. The service was friendly and helpful. Loved that this is locally owned and small in size. The breakfast included was perfect and delicious. Local fruits, fresh made eggs to order and local foods. Loved this hotel. Highly recommended.

Beautiful property with uncrowded grounds and beach. Convenient to center of Tamarindo but out of the fray. Great place to relax and enjoy the beach, the pool, wildlife and grounds and friendly staff.
