Capitán Suizo Beachfront Boutique Hotel

We loved our stay here. Everyone was thoughtful and friendly. Our room was lovely with a beautiful balcony where we could observe the wildlife. The hotel is eco friendly and the location and access to beach was fantastic.

Just wonderful property. We enjoyed the room and the location.

The place is very beautiful and the service is great. All the staff was very friendly and made us feel right at home. I want to give the special shut out to the manager Rosa who went an extra mile to offer us freshly cut aloe juice from their garden when she saw that we got sun burned on the beach (it works great when it’s fresh!). It’s also a great place for surfing lessons. The only minor improvement I would make is the quality of pillows in the rooms which weren’t the greatest. We would definitely choose this place again, it’s great for a family vacation.

Tamarindo was the first stop for my husband & I on our honeymoon to Costa Rica and we are SO glad we stayed at Capitán Suizo!! If you are looking for a quieter, more mellow and luxurious but still very convenient option, this is for you! This is the farthest resort along the busy beachfront strip in downtown Tamarindo closest to Langosta Beach so the beach directly outside is not as busy with people, surfers, and solicitors, but just walk a few minutes down the beach if you want that. It’s also only about a 5-10 minute walk to downtown where there are tons of shops, restaurants, bars, coffee shops & the food truck garden. We stayed in a superior king room with a beautiful balcony view and could hear the howler monkeys every morning, saw many iguanas and made friends with the resort’s on-site cats (they’re all so sweet!). We ate at the resort’s restaurants many times and it was delicious. Staff is very friendly & helpful, rooms are beautiful & clean, and lots of excursions available & easily accessible. We do not like to party hard so we enjoyed the peacefulness of this resort a lot.

We had a bungalow with an outdoor shower. That was really amazing and fun! View from the room of the beach was splendid. Would stay there again.

The rooms were clean, large and quiet. The free breakfast buffet had plenty of great options (you can also choose to order off a menu). The restaurant was one of the best restaurants in the area for lunch and dinner. The hotel rooms are a few feet from the beach. Free WIFI, body boards, board games, billiards and many other fun activities. The beach has an area just for guests with a security guard. The best part of the stay was the staff. They were very helpful and polite.
