Springfield Hotel

This hotel was lovely. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Especially Linda on reception. The room was well presented and clean. Overall a lovely stay.

Beautiful hotel, fabulous friendly staff, Teresa was one of the lovely staff we encountered and gad a lovely wee chat and amazing food too.

Nader has been amazing so polite and helpful! Room is spotless and so nice absolutely a place to stay food is so nice too!!

Great location for the port with plenty of parking. Lovely large room with a huge bed! Plenty of space for opening luggage. Good size bathroom with a great shower. Restaurant was great with lots of choice on the menu and friendly staff.

We went to the Springfield hotel yesterday evening 30th July 2025, for our evening dinner, and after waiting for service at the bar, we order chicken supreme for my wife, and I ordered lamb shanks, which it was told was a great choice with a side of fries a pint of Guinness & a coke zero. I returned to where we were seated & awaited our meal. When our meal arrived it looked really good, and my my wife was enjoying her chicken supreme, however I found my order of Lamb shank & vegetables including mash tepid, and it certainly was not cooked directly more likely reheated but extremely poorly reheated, the poor in tasted it the cooler it was. With no staff to be seen I eventually gave up on eating it some 20 mins later we were asked if we wished to see a dessert menu by a young male staff member, which I declined & told him that my main course had been served cold, and asked him to feel the coldest of the plate it was on, to which he replied I would expect that after it been served. my family & I have been patrons of this hotel for some 30 years, & to say the least this dinner was the worse meal I have ever had in the Springfield hotel & the service was to say the least extremely poor. Even the outside smoking shelter had not been swept, in weeks looking at the state it was in which included service trays. My wife emailed the hotel yesterday evening after returning home, & as I write this review we still have heard nothing, so much for customer service form management / owners of this once fine establishment hotel. My rating for food consumption quality, staff ability to rectify issues, & hotel outdoor cleanliness is extremely poor 3/10.

Had a lovely stay for just over a week for work purposes. The staff were fantastic and great food too

We were served by Nader, he helped a lot, eveywhere was clean. The rooms were really clean, bathroom as well. We were taken good care of.
