Fabulous location, friendly staff, and excellent facilities.

Lovely spot, high end room appointments, if small. Food poor - particularly for the price at dinner. Breakfast was fine, if a bit limited in selection. Very nice people all around though.

The Chanler is by far the best place to eat and stay in Newport. If you want an exceptional dining experience, you have to try Chef Jacob’s Cara Restaurant. The tasting menu is always different, locally sourced, fresh and amazing! The rooms are wonderfully comfortable and the staff is the best.

50th wedding anniversary gift from our son. Daffodil Days in Newport and the Chanler. Couldn’t have been more perfect. From the valet service to the breakfast we were made to feel welcome. Hope to return for our next special occasion.

Chanler is perfectly situated at the start of the scenic cliff walk, which was so lovely. From the moment you enter, you are welcomed with warmth from the staff and a brief tour of the gorgeous hotel and accommodations. Our room was gorgeous and clean. The restaurant was amazing and the views from everywhere on the property, breathtaking. Perfect stay.

Staff, dining, and service were top notch. Highly recommended stay for some luxury and relaxation in Newport.

This was an amazing experience! Exceptional property and service. Definitely a Five Star location, located along the famous Cliff Walk, right on the ocean! We stayed in the French Provincial room which had amazing ocean views. The room itself was flawless and beautiful, heated floors in the super large bathroom, everything was sparkling clean. We felt pampered from the moment we arrived until our departure. The staff was amazing, including Hannah, the maitre-de, to Craig, our on-staff driver, who took us into town. Everything was first-class, including breakfast with expert waitstaff, delicious food, and ocean views. We will be back!

The location, the rooms, the staff the food, the view! Three days at the Chanler was enough to make it my favorite hotel in the world. Everything was sublime.

Honestly upset we paid full price to stay at the hotel while it was being redesigned. Didn’t feel fair since we couldnt rly use the common areas or eat there. Wish we knew it earlier would have planned our trip another wekeend Not sure all the dark and more modern stuff fits the space either. I always thought it’d be neat if they had a Chanler store with apparel and Christmas/Easter Chanler decor and such, but the bar area is now all modern and feels out of character with Newport
