Campanile Runcorn

I didn't even know you could buy sprung mattresses like the one we slept on. The most uncomfortable night I've ever had. Every time I moved, I'd get impaled by a different spring. It was so bad, e got up and left at 4.45! Staff were friendly.but the whole place is just grubby and dated.

The hotel is situated opposite the train station, therefore ideal if you’re arriving that way as it’s just a short walk. The appearance of the hotel is grim and depressing, the untidy car park failing to hide rubbish and linen left there. The stairs leading up to our room reminded me of a run-down estate in need of investment, very dingy. The room smelled of an old antique shop when we went in, really quite unpleasant. Facilities inside were what you’d expect, shower/hand soap, kettle with tea/coffee, TV, etc, with a rusty bathroom mirror and net curtains that need cleaning. We stayed one night, together with delivery drivers and construction workers doing the same. We didn’t pay much and were glad it wasn’t expensive. Many, many improvements needed to eradicate the ‘gloomy’ feel of the place.

Nice welcome, clean and accommodating room but a very tired property with stained walls, doors and carpets. Breakfast good.

Two star because of the staff who were lovely. Sad and depressing rooms. Stayed in this chain on the continent and was happy, hence why I booked this hotel without CHECKING the reviews. I hate giving poor reviews but I literally walked in the room - and booked another hotel. Sorry.

Checked in and left immediately on seeing the accommodation. From the outside it looks like a dodgy motel from an American B Movie. Basic doesn't even begin to describe the room, it was like moving into a run down flat on a sink estate. Paper thin walls, very questionable clientele. I left because I felt completely unsafe there. Probably the worst accommodation I have ever booked.

The worst hotel I have ever booked.Me and my 2 mates lasted 5 minutes.There were some unsavoury characters staying at the place.Notice I didn't refer to it as a hotel,because it isn't.We checked into another hotel.The 1 star is because it wouldn't allow me to submit a review without giving it a rating.

Bed not fit for use. Broken furniture.

I had a comfortable stay and the wi fi was very good.

Very basic with thin walls. A motel not a hotel

It is an extremely basic accommodation which is in need of some updating. We got there very late and just needed to get our heads down for the night, however the water from the taps ran brown, the bath is the size of a shoe box and the room smelt of a mix of really old cigarettes and mold. At the end of the day it was cheap accommodation which served a purpose however i would think twice in staying here again. On a side note the staff are great...
