Good value for money. £55 per night for double room. Ideal for contractors and folk just passing through. Staff friendly and very helpful.

As a regular visitor to the hotel I’m a bit perplexed bout something. On the positive, room’s immaculately clean, cheap and located right next to train station. Negatively, for the last 4-5 visits the TV wasn’t working. These was random rooms. To be fair on one visit the staff told me I can move took if I wanted to. Apart from that it’s sound as a pound

I managed to book a room for £46 for one night while visiting friends - for that price the room was an absolute steal! The room itself was lacking some modernisation in terms of style, but a smart tv was supplied which was a nice surprise! The staff at the front desk were very welcoming and lovely to chat to. The room was clean to a degree, but is clearly in need of a revamp. I am planning on staying here again!

"Tired, depressing hotel."

2.0

Dismal surroundings and a hotel that needs a total refurbishment, inside and out. Very tired and run down. Staff were great but it must be depressing working in that environment. Rat boxes everywhere on the site!

It is a bit of a peculiar place as it is configured on a 'USA model' such that there are open balconies instead of enclosed hallways (as a frequent visitor to the USA, I should mention that this arrangement seems to have gone out of fashion over the last 10-20 years). It is a bit old but the staff were very friendly and breakfast was fine. My only complaint is that my room overlooked the parking area which was irritating as I didn't bring a car, I would have preferred a room at the rear.

"Diabolical"

This is the worst place I have stayed the first room we were given stank of smoke so was moved to another room that wasn't much better. Dirty carpets, dim lighting, the bed was so soft once you sat on it it was like sitting on floor, there was stains on bed linen. It was the pits I wouldn't let my dog stay here KEEP CLEAR OF CAMPANILE

"Awful Experience at Runcorn Campanile"

2.0

I cannot even begin to describe the awful feeling when I first saw the building. It reminded me of a council high rise in 1970's London. The sole, wicker chair in the room was broken and had to be replaced. Windows could not be opened despite high temperatures in the room due to the hotel's other 'guests' smoking in the corridors outside. ( The other 'guests were predominantly Eastern European workmen & labourers). There was no electric fan. The room is antiquated, basic and cheaply decorated. Carpet was old, stained and felt dirty to walk on with bare feet, compelling me to buy a pair of slippers for the duration of my 3 night stay. Toilet is clean but toilet seat was broken & one of two lights was broken. Shower is gravity fed but adequate for basic hygiene. Mattress was lumpy, uncomfortable with springs protruding through mattress cover. In was charged £239.35 for 3 nights, a very high premium for a very low budget, decrepid hotel. No. I'm never returning back to this place.

Loved the layout of the accommodation, and the room was spacious. The only downside was the bed was too soft, but overall it was nice

"Very good for the price."

Good value. Short walk to the station, and not far to walk into town. No complaints.
