Quite old and dated but good enough for a biker

Room out side of a pelican crossing, carnt be helped but was annoying

It was so convenient….. a bus stop right outside the hotel and an easy walk to the shops and the ferry terminal.

The narrow corridors were quite challenging when we had our cases to get back and to the lifts.

The reception stored our bags for us on arrival whilst we undertook an excursion. On our return we checked in and were allocated a third floor room facing the rear of the hotel which was fine. The location of the hotel was perfect being, as it is, close to both the ferry terminal and the town centre. The breakfast included in the price catered for all tastes - full English or continental and was available from 7am catering for our early departure.

Only one issue, reported to the reception, was a noisy extractor fan in the bathroom which meant using the toilet in the dark so as not to disturb the other occupant.

Room exceptionally clean, very comfortable, bathroom exceptionally clean and very good walk in shower. Breakfast was OK - cereals, toast and jam, good cooked English breakfast buffet, but no continental style foods. Staff extremely helpful and responsive when asked for gluten-free and dairy-free items. Lovely reception and small bar, Great location on the beautiful prom, which lights up at night - we had sea-view room and views were great. Just around the corner from the town centre.

Could do with a shelf to put toiletries, toothbrush etc. on in bathroom Corridors are very cramped and hot. Lift just about fit in 4 people and was very slow. Breakfast room too warm (even though cool and rainy outside).

Went with Alfa on Maynes coach on hire to Alfa. Hotel, staff and meals perfect Lovely room (219) with sea view. Only hiccup was ferry crossings that company do nothing to help your tourist trade! Thank you for your efforts to try and sort this for us
