Went to this hotel in2024, had good experience, nice staff ect. Went for TT this time 2026. Very disapointed with room, cleanliness issues. Public toilets disgusting, dirty and smelly. Some staff very nice, some need more training. We wont be back to this hotel, wich is a shame because it is in a good location

Service was friendly, room was clean and spacious, location was good for easy access to buses, steam train and MER. The included breakfast buffet was pleasant and staff in restaurant were helpful.

Room was opposite Jax which we thought was simply a restaurant but at night it becomes a nightclub which had very loud music and people shouting until past 3am both nights we stayed. The room was also uncomfortably hot despite only being 16 degrees outside. However we couldn't open the window at night because of the noise. Slept awfully as a result! I think other rooms may avoid this if they are not facing this side of the building - we had room 117.

Very small or narrow access hallways and stairs.

Initial welcome didn’t feel welcoming . No pastries at breakfast No evidence of alternative non dairy milk

We booked the Chesterhouse last minute following a bad experience with another apartment in Douglas . The staff could t have been any more helpful from reception to the Restaurant staff .we ate in the Restaurant a couple of times food was very good . The room was clean bed comfortable and would go again if in Douglas . It was very convenient to everywhere. Bus stop outside .

Excellent location

Bit dated felt like I was walking on broken floorboards very unsteady in places

I liked the bathroom because I was able to have a hot shower

I couldn’t see out of the window and I felt the springs on the bed

The staff were lovely and friendly the room was cosy and great location.
