The Chesterhouse

Location was good all staff very friendly and helpful, also it was a good sized room and a good breakfast

Due to the weather being hot the room did feel a little stuffy, unable to open windows wide as seagulls were present on building, the only other issue was the fair on the promenade which wasn't the fault of the hotel.

Excellent food, great choice and always hot. Compliments to the chef. Great service at meal times. Very good location. Close to shops port and on the sea front. Friendly staff

Could have done with a separate bar room, but it wasn’t a problem for my stay. Ours was a room that hadn’t been modernised so a little outdated. Shower needed a longer curtain as the water kept pooling outside of the shower basin.

We stayed for 5 days and one of the days they didn't service our room . Had to make our bed etc.

The staff were very accommodating and happy to help in any way, breakfast was wonderful and plenty to choose from.

The water pressure was sometimes a little challenging but you need to remember its an old building.

Location

Bedroom 111 noise of kitchen fans, room very warm and due to noise outside could not open window for fresh air, bed uncomfy.

Basic rooms, noise from next door bar late at night (although our room faced directly onto the street - rooms at other end of hotel would have had no noise)
