Yankee Clipper Inn

We are from DC and San Diego and had the best long weekend at the Yankee Clipper. Our room, the Daniel McKay (named after a ship designer), had large picture windows looking right onto Sandy Bay, with smaller windows that opened and allowed us to hear the waves flowing up to the shore. There were high quality amenities in the room, including our favorite brand of coffee, Green Mountain. When my partner asked for the type of coffee she drinks daily, the staff found it and brought it to us? The staff led by Mike the manager and Casandra, the Operations Manager, are among the best we have encountered, and we travel a lot. Mike helped us select our room which was important because my partner had just had knee replacement surgery, and some rooms do have steps up. Cameron, a young staffer, is fun and so knowledgeable of the area. The breakfasts are made to order as they advertise, and yummy. There is a daily yogurt and berry bar with homemade granola. And there is a daily breakfast special. The French toast on Sunday was partially delicious. The women who server are really friendly and responsive. On the weekend, the bar serves food. Everything we ordered was spot on. We will be back and recommend to our many friends!!

The ocean view was stunning! I loved waking up to watch the sunrise every morning from bed❤️ I highly recommend it

The view from all areas was stunning. I stayed in the quarter deck and it was perfect. It wasn’t a hard walk over to the big house for breakfast and evening drinks.

Room was horrible: very small, no space for suitcase, no ambiance, shower very narrow, restrictions everywhere it seems (do’s and don’ts), view of parking lot, light on air conditioning lit up the room all night - breakfast very minimal
