Yankee Clipper Inn

The view from the room was incredible, the ocean was right there with a whole wall of windows to view from. We went to sleep to the sound of the waves and woke to an incredible sunset. The grounds of the property were stunning and well maintained. The pool was a little old but it felt incredible and it was nice to swim in the salt water while looking at the ocean. We also used the Bocce court which was very nice. Wish the gate between the bocce court and the pool was open so there was direct access to cool down, but it wasn't far, so I shouldn't even mention it. Go to Long Beach in Gloucester, Front beach isn't great. but long beach during low tide has so much room and is beautiful, with gentle waves.

Breakfast was great, and I loved the yogurt parfait but I wish it was not served in a plastic cup. I also wish guest could climb on the rocks. I suspect this is an insurance issue, but there are so many places in Rockport where rock scrambling is allowed so it feels restrictive to not be allowed here.

Cameron was great! Friendly, welcoming, and helpful. We stayed in the Quarterdeck which meant a walk up stairs and down the sidewalk for breakfast each morning. It was ok, just not ideal. Breakfast was great, and our server, Claire, was great too.

A walkway across the lawn from the Quarterdeck to the main building would be nice.

We stayed at the Yankee Clipper across the street in their Bullfinch House. The stairwell to room 35 was small and tight but the room was very big and great. A partial view if the ocean, clean & comfortable. Two steps up to the small bathroom - the included breakfast was so good and the entire staff was just great!
