"Diamond Life"

10.0

This place is truly exquisite. Each room has a different name, offers a different experience, and will appeal to a different kind of guest. The Pillars have outdoor showers on the lower level and are equipped with a balchony overlooking the ocean. *Pine Pillar is the only one of the “Pillars” that has A/C. “Bungalow”, where we stayed, features a large patio, a queen-sized bed, and a moon roof. Save for the roof, it’s nestled mostly under a canopy of trees, near the “Garden” villas, and adjacent to “Long House”, which overlooks the cove and bridge. If you enjoy the sound of crashing waves at night, you’ll want to choose “Cove Cottage”. However, its proximity to the property’s most Instagrammable features (the cove and bridge) may attract loitering by scantily clad guests endeavouring to take photos of other scantily clad guests, from the vantage point of your room. Pros and cons. The staff were all courteous and accommodating. Unlike your average all-inclusive, you won’t spend 30-40 minutes in the lobby waiting to check in, and you won’t be subjected to solicitation or haggling by outside vendors on the beach. (There’s no beach here.) Tensing Pen was designed for the more discerning among us, and appeals to young professionals and empty nesters alike. We appeared to be the youngest guests present (late 20s, early 30s), and we didn’t come across anyone or anything that we found obnoxious. Our only regret was ‘not staying longer’.

"Transportive"

10.0

If you want to be transported to another world entirely, this is the place. The location on the cliffs and the grounds are stunning. It feels secluded, exotic and exclusive without being pretentious. The rooms or huts or whatever you want to call them are austere, but stylish and comfortable. It's like an upscale summer camp for adults. The only drawbacks to our accommodations were the bathroom and the noise at night. The bathroom in our lodging was a bit rundown and the shower had very little pressure and limited hot water. We had an upstairs neighbor and you could here EVERYTHING. It was close to the road running behind the resort and at night there were lots of motorcycles revving, dogs barking and reggae music from neighboring properties. However, these were minor irritants and particular to our spot on the property. I recommend asking for a unit on the north side of the resort for more peace and if possible, one of the units in it's own structure (no sharing). I liked that the resort was not cutoff from the locale like the big resorts on seven mile beach. You can go to restaurants, nightclubs or for groceries, all within walking distance, and everyone we came in contact with were friendly and welcoming. The restaurant on premises is very good and prices were similar or cheaper than most of the options nearby. The staff is friendly, helpful and professional. The spa treatments were excellent. The main event is the sea and it won't dissappoint. Amazing!

"Unique hotel with amazing staff"

10.0

We usually stay at 5 star all-inclusives, but we wanted a different experience this trip, and we found it, with no regrets! Low key and laid back environment with friendly staff who all called us by name after only one day! Great food, views, accommodations, etc. We will return, most likely with many friends in tow! One of our best vacation experiences ever! (Met the owners, who happened to be there during our stay, and they were delightful, and very attentive to the comfort and concern of their guests!)

"Amazing hospitality, great stay !!"

10.0

They go out of their way to make you feel welcome and ensure that you are truly happy with your stay. Rooms are adorable, nicely furnished, huge closet areas, great porches, the staff is so wonderful. The grounds are lovely, the restaurant was great, loved our dinner there, free continental breakfast. There are 2 adorable dogs that escort you around and visit your porch. Highly recommend! *They are currently doing some renovations, it didn't bother us but I just wanted to note that.
