Black Friars

No one on site after-hours for issues… such as the banging on our door and jiggling of our door handle for most of the night and early morning! Was it a ghost or a drunk patron? No idea, but it certainly impacted the quality of sleep we got that night!

Very pleasant room, friendly and helpful staff. Pub downstairs had good food and lovely ambiance. Was unsure at first staying above a pub as I was travelling with my child, but it felt comfortable and safe.

We absolutely loved this hotel, it's small and quaint. super clean and connected to a restaurant and bar. Staff was awesome and I would def recommend this hotel. Our stay was awesome and its in walking distance to the bus station and city centre for shopping and dining.

Wonderful stay! Wishing more rooms in Scotland had ceiling fans but we're discovering thats not very common

This is my second time staying there and it’s just as good this time as it was last time.

Room was okay- but for the price it was a let down. Breakfast was some cornflakes, yogurt and canned fruit - poor. Bar was uninviting with limited beer options. Parking was only available at the garage a few blocks away. Staff seemed mostly looking forward to having their shift end. Must be better options.

This was an excellent place to stay extremely convenient for walking to dining options and having a beverage around town.

We had a wonderful stay at Black Friars! Our room was very spacious and comfortable and we heard no noise from the pub or street below. It is very conveniently located in downtown Inverness, just a few minutes' walk from the train station, and very close to the river and the shops. The pub below is great and has very nice staff and tasty food. We would absolutely stay again if and when we return to the area!

Didn’t sleep for two days because the floor boards are very noisy. You can hear everyone around you at 430 am. Otherwise nice place.

Just a few blocks from pedestrian shopping street. Lovely town. No elevator. Convenient eating since it’s above a restaurant.
