Black Friars

Great place to stop over in Inverness. Charming Inn feeling to the room and easily walkable to the best of Inverness!

Must park off site and walk from parking garage with your luggage to the property which is a challenge in the weather and with children in tow. The rooms themselves were nice and large for a family and very quiet for a city center room.

The hotel was just as expected and the staff were great. The room was small but tidy. There is a bar and restaurant that was lovely. The one major issue that we encountered on the trip was the temperature of the room, VERY cold and no extra blankets. It wasn’t just our room as we made friends with somebody else that was staying. The radiator in the rooms do not work unless you turn up the thermostat in the main hall way, which controls the temperatures for everyone’s room. Before we discovered this, we called the many numbers that were provided for a manager and nobody answered (2 numbers were not working and there is no one on site after 10pm) and nobody returned my email and nobody responded to my voicemails. Very bad customer service.

Good location, great staff. Rooms well presented but a little deficient in maintenance. Food good and pleasant ambience

The hotel is lovely and the food good, however it is very noisy at night. There is a pub/disco right across the road which kept us up half the night. Not suitable for families at weekend. The stairs to the room are very steep and narrow so difficult to manage with bags.

Large comfortable rooms. Short walk from station. Central for exploring Inverness. Many bars and restaurants nearby. Good breakfast options.

We only stayed one night at Black Friars and wished we had more. The room was cosy and clean and the bed was super comfortable. The staff was very personable and helpful. This was one of our favorite stays of our trip.

We left a pillow in our initial stay but contacted them and they held it for me until we returned which we appreciated. Really good bar and restaurant downstairs and friendly staff. We were able to keep our luggage with them after checkout before leaving for train station. Very accommodating.

Great location and suite size

This is not a 4 stars hotel. Maximum 6 poor rooms on top of a restaurant The only thing in favour is the bathroom which was recently refurbised
