Great Wolf Lodge Traverse City

Total kid place, like Chuck E Cheese on steroids, lol everything about the great wolf Lodge is about spending money, feels less like a vacation and more like a trip to the arcade, I know that's why families come here, but make it a bit more affordable, include it in the price of the stay, instead of making every little thing an extra charge. Just feels like so much greed.

The customer service here was incredible. All the staff were very friendly and extremely kind and helpful. We had so much fun, it felt magical. Staff helped make our experience so much better by answering all questions and providing answers with much kindness and direction. Only complaint is having to pay for parking, which felt like a complete scam. Then, after having to pay for parking, I was asked to return to my car --which was at the end of the parking lot -- in the rain, with a bad knee, to provide proof of paid parking slip in the car window. Most Great Wolf Lodges do not require you to pay for parking, and this felt over the top, considering the establishment makes it easy to spend money on every other aspect of your stay. Besides this, we had an absolutely incredible, fun, magical, easy-going stay that provided us with the most fond memories !!

The hotel is pretty and clean. It is very kid friendly, which started in the lobby. We enjoyed our stay. The only drawback was upon leaving, they were doing an interactive play in the lobby with a handful of kids, and the person handling the play completely ignored my grandson, so we just went ahead and left.

Good place for the kids, water park was good. Food is mediocre and over priced. Going during the week is worth it at 150 a night. 550 a night on the weekend is just rediculous in my opinion, value does not match what you get. You could do a pretty amazing all inclusive tropical resort with a waterpart for that price, maybe a little.more and sometimes a little less. Anyway i wouldnt reccomend it unless its during the week and 3 days is the max i reccomend unless you are doing lots of other activities, all 3 kids were good after 2 days and ready to leave and do something else on day 3, 4 was too much

Price gouging for mediocre food and service

The room was over $400 for my husband and I that checked in at 11pm. We asked for a 30 minute late checkout and was informed that would be an additional $59 which we declined. And on top of that they charge $15 to park. The room smelled musty. The room was very minimal as far as the bathroom vanity area. For the vost it should be top notch. WAY OVERPRICED!!

We haven’t left yet, but thought we’d share how things are going. The check-in was smooth. We were able to check in early (for a fee). There is also a parking fee. There are plenty of carts to assist with luggage and coolers and such. There’s plenty of activities available (Magiquest, Build a Bear,waterpark, characters, bowling) and lots of on-site food and beverage options (sit down, ice cream, pizza), a gift store. The staff are all friendly and helpful. The property is slightly starting to show its age, but it’s well maintained. We added a few additional packages and ate, drank, and were merry. We had a ball with our almost 4 year old granddaughter.
