The Kennebunk Inn

Second time staying here. Can walk to shops & restaurants, dog-friendly. Charming building over 200 years old. Cons: Our room was on 3rd floor, so up & down 2 flights of stairs every time we walked dog. Shower backed up 1st time we used it, but they fixed it and comped us at the bar for our shower trouble.

We enjoyed our stay and the large room for our family. You just need to keep in mind this is a 200-year-old building and is very creaky, with no elevators. The kids loved the maze of stairways and exploring. The claw-foot tub wasn't the most convenient for my tall husband, but fine for everyone else. The staff here is AMAZING, Angela is a wealth of knowledge on the area and made some great recommendations off the regular 'tourist' path!

Liked the 2 bedroom + living room sofa bed set up. Worked well for travelling with kids

The floors creak noisily with every step. It was only charming for the first 5 minutes. Also the beds were very uncomfortable. Also there never seemed to be any staff around- it was kinda weird in that way.
