The Kennebunk Inn

The location was good and staff were helpful

The room was small, no hanging closet, bathroom was really cramped. The bed was a small, wobbly queen. But most of all the - newly fitted- air-conditioning unit was VERY noisy. Completely unsustainable was the warm water supply: it takes a minimum of 8 minutes before it reaches the shower - and they advertise it!

Very clean and beautiful property.

Mattresses were very firm and blankets were stiff.

We appreciated the ambiance of an older hotel. It was not quiet, but that wasn't a big problem.

Old and shabby

Seeing that it was built circa 1799 this house isn't the most modern facility you'll find. But it has immense character. We stayed one night that we had booked and then booked another. The bed & bath have been updated with modern plumbing, a/c, comfortable bed, big screen, etc. Homemade cookies offered.

Of course the room we had was a bit on the small side, but that is fully to be expected given the period of the home's construction. I had to stretch to mention anything at all I didn't like.
