Royal Mirage Fes

It was nice and suitable

We stayed there for 3 nights. Our room was large and comfortable, except for the balcony door which didn't close all the way and which meant that the AC wasn't very effective. We received excellent service from some of the hotel staff members while others almost made us feel like we were bothering them. The included breakfast buffet was okay. We only had the buffet dinner once and it too was okay. The elevator was very old and seemed poorly maintained. The hotel is located about an hour away on foot from the Fez Medina. A petit taxi from just outside the hotel took us there for 10 Dirham. The cab ride to the train station cost 5 Dirham or roughly a 20 min walk. Just a note, if you leave the Medina around closing time, it can be hard to find a petit taxi and we ended up walking about 40 mins to the Borj Fez shopping centre and caught a taxi from there.

Getting a bit threadbare. Hotel gym very weak and not well maintained (wasn't cleaned while I was there). Rooms nice enough and breakfast pretty good. Pool is excellent and perhaps the best thing about the hotel. The hotel convenience shop was rarely open - certainly not during the hours it was supposed to be open.

NOT a five star hotel. Maybe 20 years ago, but now it's dated and tired. AC was poor, pool was closed at 7 PM even though it was very hot out and people wanted to swim...no explanation. I called twice for someone to fix the in room safe but no one ever showed. Big room, comfortable bed, nice view of pool which I couldn't use and staff was average.

Talk about mediocre! This hotel left almost everything to be desired. All of their advertising points fell short, and they failed to mention their strong suits. Wifi: sketchy! Towels shampoo etc: non existent! Pool: under construction! Service: ok!

I have been always travelling and staying in 5 and 4 stars hotel and never been asked to give the details of my credit card at the check in time except at this hotel. It is well understood the the hotel management went through unpleasent experience with a guest or two that made them act in this unprofessional way that send a wrong message to the guest "" we need the details of your card because we do not trust you "' Anyway, the staff recovered this mistake afterwards by offering a very warm and curtious service.

The service was OK but the rooms especially the beds should be updated, they were too soft and worn, when I first arrived to my room maintenance had to come because the heating system didn't work but they fixed it before i returned the house keeping staff was great

Good location - can walk to some modern shops and restaurants (not old town), and really fantastic service and food, but the rooms need remodeling.

The hotel changed since my last stay 2 years ago. The furnature was worn off. The carpets on the halls are in very bad condition. The doors and beds are not in a good condition. The telephone lines in the rooms were not working. The shower heads are broken.

The staff and managers were very professional. They know what they are doing and are very knowledgeable. I found in that hotel the quality of welcome and quality of service. I Will be back to that hotel and also encourage everybody visiting Fes to stay there.
