Property was well landscaped but could use another pool really busy

The property was really quite and the unit waa very cozy however, the beds need to be replaced (the make a lot of noise and are very uncomfortable) and not everything was clean. (Toilets especidically).

The island was beautiful ..... the area was perfect, quiet but had everything close

didn't like the dirty kitchen - had to clean all plates, pans, mugs, etc. before use. other than that, everything was pretty good. location is great! amenities - great! We stayed with the 14-month-old baby and we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay - laundry in the apartment, second bath, all linen/towels, etc. Perfect place for a family stay!

Much better deal than Lahaina. Unless you want a resort atmosphere with high rise clusters of hotels and close golf courses. The restaurants around Kihei are soso, but bring your Costco Card and get a better price for food and gas (more than 60c less per Gallon) and use the amenities of Kamaole Sands. Fully equipped kitchen, several public grill stations, pool, gated community, etc. The beachis just across the street, and not as crowded as in the resorts. This place met all of our needs. Unit 2-205 Pros: great location, clean, pretty condo complex. Assigned parking was a good idea. Even though it said Garden View, we had a partial ocean view from the lanai which was a nice surprise. Well-equipped kitchen if you want to cook (we didn't.) Ice maker in the freezer was good. Lots of beach toys, chairs, umbrella, etc. The bed was comfortable. It had a washer/dryer (but we didn't even know about it until the housekeeper asked us to wash the towels before we left!) Beach right across the street and nice sandy beaches with good snorkeling within a few minutes drive. Cons: Bad A/C... there is only a wall unit air-conditioner in the living room behind the tv cabinet which does not cool any other rooms. The bedroom is in the very back of the unit so it was very hot at night. There was a ceiling fan and a very noisy plug in fan which both had to be on all night to keep the room from sweltering. On one humid day it was hard to sleep. If you need a/c, make sure you get a unit that has central air. Also, the shower leaked all over the bathroom floor so we just kept a bathmat along the edge. Bath amenities were so-so. All in all, this is a good enough condo for a short stay. I would look for another unit with better amenities and better a/c next time. But Kamaole Sands is definitely a good spot to spend a few days in Maui.

We enjoyed the pool, nicely manicured grounds, and gym. The staff were welcoming and it was an overall great experience. Unlike the pictures on this site, the suite we stayed in was old and a bit run down. We made a special request for a ground floor weeks in advance, as our toddler would have loved to be able to run around outside. Although the staff said they would try to accomodate our request, we were given a room on the 3rd floor. The kitchen had absolutely everything we could have wished for and it was really convenient to have a laundry machine in our suite. Great experience overall.

Ground were very well kept. Great location and amenities. Suite was very well stocked. Very good common BBQ facilities.
