Kamaole Sands - Maui Condo & Home

The condo is well equipped and comfortable. Walking distance to the beach. The KS main office was able to accommodate us by storing our luggages since our flight is late in the evening.

I liked that the property was waking distance to the beach and many restaurants/shops. The unit i was in didn’t comfortably sleep 4. The pull-out bed wasn’t very comfortable. The AC wall unit wasn’t working that well to cool the condo.

TV, bedroom lights, master shower, air conditioner NONE worked

this is our 4th stay there....always been more than satisfied......the staff is so friendly & the grounds are lovely.....

We really enjoyed unit 406. Unit itself was great, big enough for the 5 of us, with an amazing view of the ocean, overlooking the pool and the park. Unit was not the most updated, but it was still good and convenient. Sofa sleeper was top notch quality, which I mention as it is often overlooked. Only low point was a ceiling leak in the front bedroom in the downpour the night we arrived, which we later on learnt was due to the solar installation that happened a few month prior, but had not been fixed yet. It was easily handled by moving the bed, but we could have done without. We were offered to change unit, which was more upscale but without a view. We could not abandon it and stayed.

Perfect! The only request I could possibly make is for more hot water..... this has been a request on every trip and stay here.

The KS grounds are very nice and well kept. Building 4 is very noisy because of the busy road that it faces. The ensuite in 4-204 is in badly need of up-dating! The tub & enclosure are still the originals (25 plus years no doubt!). The tub is very badly worn and stained without any non slip mats available. The ceiling fan in the bedroom is hanging on by a wire-shakes & rattles and we were afraid that it could decapitate us! Condo linens were ancient & threadbare! We had plenty of beach chairs, boogie boards etc. but, NO beach towels! The fridge & kitchen equipment were adequate. We have stayed at the Kamaole Sands previously, but Building 4 has been the worst of all our stays. Stay away from building #4!!

The unit we stayed in slept six and was well equipped. It suited our purposes perfectly and we would recommend the unit to any one. A great two weeks for our fmily.

Nice grounds, but we were supposed to have a Partial Ocean View. We got a dark unit, mold in the bathroom stall, all furnishings dark brown and not updated in decades. Back unit, about 1/2 mile from the beach, facing a scrubby field full of heavy equipment, and loud trucks passing by early in the morning. The kitchen was good, and we appreciated that, but otherwise, kind of a disaster. The bedroom had a double bed, not even a queen, and my husband is 6'4". He did not fit in the little bed. The fv in the bedroom was very old and took up a big part of the room. It was a bit like a cave, this unit. Not recommended. It's a good thing we had a car and could drive to the beach each day. Also, our bedroom was on the main walkway to the elevator, and people woke us up very early in the morning. They were also working with heavy equipment to install solar on the building and no one warned us about this. So it was life in a construction zone for our whole week. The kitchen was good, but the other problems were significant.
