Kamaole Sands - Maui Condo & Home

We stayed at this kamaole sands condo for 6 nights in late November. The complex is across the street from kamaole beach 3. It's a short, easy walk. Our unit was a two-bedroom. The master was located at the top of a spiral staircase. The unit was spacious with a well stocked kitchen. The dining area is very pretty. The Lanai is large and has an ocean view. We liked how quiet the other guests were. We heard that quiet hours are strictly enforced. The elevators stopped working for two days, so we took the stairs. Luckily it was fixed by the day we had to take our luggage from the 4th floor to our car. Overall it was nice. Though we did not find the sofas to our liking. The cushions should be replaced with firmer ones for better back support.

This was my second time staying at Kameole Sands. Love the amazing gardens and the location close to the beach. We had a wonderful condo with high ceilings and a loft. Kitchen and bathrooms nicely renovated. The only negative remark I would say is that the air conditioning unit is weak. We had to use the fans and air conditioning unit to keep the rooms from being way too hot.

This was the perfect place to stay. Convienent location. On the center of the island can get to any part of island fairly easily. Across the street from beach. Great to be able to cook some meals at home rather than eat out the whole trip. We had 2 bedroom two bath very spacious and comfortable. We felt right at home. Pool was warm. Only complaint was it was a little rundown. Needed a little maintenance. But would definitely stay there again.

Good amenities. Had the essentials. A bit outdated but I was there for the beach.

Decent smallish condo for 1 to 2. Patio had partial view. A mix of vacation and longer term renters. All I needed for a relaxed stay. Wi-Fi worked well.

This is a condo not a hotel. Our unit was individually owned and managed by a company separate from the property manager so difficult to know who you were doing business with. Unit was very good with one major exception, The feature list for the unit said it was air conditioned but the single window A/C unit was completely overpowered by the summer heat. Only part of the main room was cool, the other rooms including the bedrooms were hot and uncomfortable. The management company offered fans but the unit already had 4 fans there. We pulled our mattresses to the front room to be near the A/C. Too bad, otherwise well kept and roomy unit in a very good close-to-beach location.

The room was nice and clean.... They had the kitchen just with the.right nesesities..for the stay and enough for a family of 5😊

Location was okay....our unit was on first floor, the only window in bedroom faced right out to where people and workers walk by, since there was no air conditioner in bedroom, it needed to stay open most of the time. Paid extra for "garden view", not worth it, our little patio faced to pool, was okay, it had a grocery bag with a couple of pieces of trash in it, one was a used diaper. My kid thought the pool water felt as thick as jello. Would only stay there again if it was on upper floor, and had 2 bedrooms, my kid had to sleep on sofa couch that was really thin, stained mattress, and had to sleep on 2 bars holding it up.... It had a small washer/dryer and that was useful, and it did have 2 small, old, full bathrooms. There was a couple of coolers in the closet that came in handy and some folding chairs we never used. The large park across the street from the condo was nice and went right down to the decent, no wave beach. I had discovered a trail that went south from the park above the water had a lot of turtles to see.

The unit we stayed provided us with everything we could possibly need. From beach chairs, toys, and umbrella, to linens, detergent and kitchen supplies. Very impressed.

The Kamaole Sands is a good property for the budget traveler, it was nice and safe and in a good location. the only concern I had was that I rented from a private owner, the front desk could not help me out with any issues that came up. They just handed me a phone number and told me to call the owner. The property manager was very good, they took care of the issues in a timely manner. The condo has no central air so it was hot in the bedroom and the pillows and linen were dirty and had to be changed out. The pool area was very nice and the grounds are well taken care of. I would stay here again.
