Kamaole Sands - Maui Condo & Home

Kamaole sands resort has a great location, good amenities and friendly atmosphere for families. This particular condo is a 1-2 star condo. The room was not as clean as I would expect. I cleaned upon arrival. The blankets for the pullout were visibly dirty. The bathroom fan would not work and gained black mold daily. The condos next door were undergoing full renovation for the majority of our stay. When I called to express my concern, I was told I could either cancel( and essentially leave us stranded for 2 weeks or take as is). They did say they would try to move us if availability came up. We were never contacted again by the rental agency. So, we stayed, cleaned and lived with construction noise. Maui Home and Condo and Expedia were of no help. I assumed that using both would help in situations such as this. It doesn’t and I am disappointed in both. Book directly through the owners. The condo available through Expedia is dirty and poorly maintained.

Beautiful grounds and location. Only having one pool / hot tube was alittle challenging. Hot tub got very full with loud people. Several times had to sit in family hot tub. (Not as warm) Bar B Q area very nice. Nice rooms with bedroom removed from living room. Our second stay there. Was nice. Mia Tai Wednesdays were great. Got to meet people.

Stayed in Condo 7-306 and it was very nice, except for the cockroaches!!! Not just a few, but a lot. In the toaster, in the drawers, in the bathroom. Not cool. Told the condo about it, they sent a guy to put up a few traps, but nothing changed. Even emailed the owners after we were home, and they didn't compensate us or do anything. I won't stay here again.

we were mostly satisfied with the property however more notice should have been given to us about the bug spraying in the units. there was a note in the elevator saying to be out of the units from 9am to 2hours after the spray so we were out by 9 and when we arrived back @ around 2:30 the spraying had not been done. we had 3 people not feeling well and no where to go. the spraying was finally done around 3 and we still couldn't go in until 2 hours after it was sprayed. A more accurate time frame would have been appreciated as the people not feeling well could have stayed in the unit until the sprayers came. Not impressed.

It’s right across from the beach which has good snorkelling. All the restaurants are close and it was quite there.

The condo was amazing! My husband and I had a wonderful time out there. There were all sorts of amenities at the condo- from utensils to washing supplies! My one criticism is that there wasn't any first aid kit available for emergencies- please consider that may be. Apart from that, our room 6-307 was amazing and we felt right at home and enjoyed the service. Thank you for the hospitality and we will definitely bringing more people to this establishment! Mahalo!

Spacious condo with 2 full baths, full size kitchen, w/d and large lanai. Great view of the pool and lush gardens. Great location. Across from the beach and a few minutes walk to restaurants and shops.

Beautiful room, beautiful grounds. The only very minor complaint would be the air conditioning limited to the living area and did not reach the bedrooms. This would not be enough to keep me from booking there again though. Kihei is just a fabulous place for a vacation. We split time between Kihei and Kaanapali. The next time we come to Maui it will be Kihei only and at Kamaole Sands.

I have stayed here before and loved it so came back. The only thing that i believe should be updated is the treadmills in the gym
