voco Formosa Park – Algarve

the only thing that let down the hotel was the room service we ordered on our first night, for a four star establishment the food we got was well below average (don't order the pizza - supermarket cheap brands are even better than what we got - 9 euros!!!) but on the plus side the buffet breakfast was good.

We came to the Algarve for a family wedding being held close by. The apartment was clean, spacious and well equipped. The breakfast buffet was one of the best we have had. Plenty of choice for any dietary requirements. The staff were all friendly and helpful, arranging taxis etc for us. It was only 5 minute walk to the beach or you could laze by the pool. I just wish we could have stayed longer!

You may need a car to make the most of the surrounding area. But the hotel and staff are 1st class

Hotel was spotlessly clean. The staff were friendly and very helpful. Lovely pool area and no problem getting sunloungers. I would recommend a car as the hotel is not within walking distance of any other restaurants or supermarkets and taxi's are quite expensive, although not too far a drive from quinto do largo. The beach is lovely but sun beds are expensive compared to other areas in algarve as are the snack bars, etc. There was great choice at the breakfast buffet and the 2 bedroom apartments were very spacious. Would recommend.

what we asked for we were given . greeted by helpful / cheerful staff . Room perfect apart from a hard bed which did not suit us , Every other aspect perfect . breakfast good , clean / nice selection very friendly staff again . plenty of parking and very nice beech . if they sorted the beds we would be back without hesitation . car will be needed here

This hotel room was full of crawling ants when we approached the front desk we were given a tin of raid ,not good enough ,Fantastic breakfast ,Broadband expensive 17 euro per day , no hourly charge or any other rate . The hotel is a taxi ride to anywhere. But if you need a taxi call your self because the company the hotel use is almost twice the price of a radio taxi . room facilities quite good room linen changed daily . some ratings 4 star some ratings 1 some ratings a big zero

This is a friendly hotel that suits mature couples and families with children of all ages. Service is great, nothing is too much trouble. Breakfast was included and it was plentiful and catered for all. Other meals were a little restricted and did not change between lunch and dinner. The location is great, very quiet and close to the beaches. Very few British tourists. Most of the families were Portuguese and the children very well behaved. Would return in a flash. You need a car to get around but that's OK. There are some fab beaches nearby and it is only a 20 min drive from Faro airport.

we have visted this Formosa Park Hotel numerous times since it opened in early 2000's nothing has changed the hotel is spotlessly clean everywhwere the staff are very frienldly Pedro & Carlos have been there since day one the location is so tranquil anyone wanting a few days away or longer holiday this the place The only down side to our 3 week stay was one night in the hotel restaurant when we had invited friends the meal was served cold this was quickily rectified but a little disapointing

Staff excellent, perfect for children. Only problem was with inconsistent water temperature in the shower. Will stay there again.

Great base for Algarve "Golden Triangle". Excellent location close to Quinta "Square" and the Formosa beach. Comfortable clean hotel with adequate lounge and kitchen facilities. Large pool. plenty of sun loungers. Speedy check in with pleasant efficient reception staff. Excellent breakfast. Advise asking for room on first or second floor with pool view (ground floor can be gloomy and lack of privacy). Definitely need a hire car here. Overall recommended for families and couples using it as a base for travel to golf and nearby resorts.
