Minnewaska Lodge

This is a beautiful lodge sitting beneath the Shawangunk Mountain Ridge. The rooms well designed in a lodge style with decks. There are trails from the property along the creek and up the ridge. Dogs are welcome. There is an excellent authentic German restaurant across the street.

The included breakfast was disappointing. Everything was processed food except for the fruit. Even the avocados were prewrapped in plastic by some company. The coffee undrinkable. For this price range and accommodation, I would hope for much more 😒

Rooms are big and clean . Walking trails are clearly marked . Mohank preserve is very close to the hotel .

Beautiful facility - in and out. The decor invites nature into the indoors. The staff thought of every little detail to make the guest feel comfortable and at home.

I loved the location , a quick drive to New Paltz campus. Surrounded by mountains , farms and wineries. Room was not fancy but it’s a cute rustic lodge. We had a cute deck with chairs too . Breakfast was GREAT!! We particularly loved the little muffins and avacado, fresh fruit and many other choices. Fresh cookies and cocoa on arrival. Check in with Mathew and Maggie was fun and very personal. Mathew even gave us a tour !

The shower pressure wasn’t great . That is about it !

1) overpowering chemical artificial smell in the room that required us to sleep with the window open on a pretty cold night 2) no ability to turn off the wine fridge , which was making quite a bit of noise that kept waking me up
