Waterfront Inn

I have traveled extensively throughout this country and stayed in many hotels. There is nothing like working all day, or sightseeing or exploring and being able to relax in a room and unwind while watching some TV. This is the first and most unfriendly place I’ve stayed in regarding the TV. Not user friendly, no regular TV channels, no sports stations, no news channels and certainly no help from the rude management. The most unpleasant experience I’ve had and do not recommend this establishment.

We had the opportunity to stay at the Waterfront Inn in Gig Harbor. It was a charming Inn with very nice accomadations and a beautiful dock to enjoy the lovely Harbor. Another great thing about the Inn is it's only a 5 minute walk into town to restaurants. Patsy and Mike are very exceptional proprietors that meet your every need. Great experience and hopefully we'll get a chance to rreturn!

The parking facilities were quite convenient and safe. However, it was somewhat challenging for two elderly ladies to navigate the steep incline. The view was truly stunning. We were slightly inconvenienced by being disturbed before 9:00 with the sounds of saws and construction work in progress, as we were facing the water. Overall, we were quite content with our experience and would certainly return.

So many nice things to say about the Waterfront Inn, hard to know where to start. First, the location is perfectly situated on the Northwest tip of the harbor. It was very easy to navigate to and easy to park. I give this a walking score of 9 out of 10. The atmosphere when I first took in the view was cerebral and calming. As I entered the room, a lush aromatherapy scent wafted out as well as the calming sounds of classical music playing. The colors and ambience of the decor and arrangement were magnificent. Plethora of amenities inside and outside of the room. Coffee flavors, mugs, wine glasses, ice machine in the foyer, clear and concise directions for most anything you could think of to ask, if an attendant had been available, but I actually appreciated not having to speak to anyone. It was a 1 night sabbatical and was perfect. The temp in the room was cool and good furnace should it be needed by fireplace. The shower and cleaning gels were luxurious. Cleanliness was 10 of 10. The mattress and pillows were all above average. A good nights sleep is well assured. I spent my time taking many photos and to my surprise, around sunset, seals came to the pier to rest after a long day of feeding in the waters. What a pleasant treat. I had a good seafood mal at Anthony's just a 2 minute walk south. Also, which was one of the most pleasant things about being in Gig Harbor, was the complete absence of bothersome lime bikes and scooters. There is no rush to get anywhere of do anything. A perfect respite from the day to day aggravation of living in Seattle. This whole area around Gig Harbor is now at the top of my list to retire at part time.

Excellent location and great room, even the one without the view! We enjoyed our stay and would gladly return. Sitting on the dock alone was well worth the escape from present day reality.

Stunning views. Friendly harbor seals. Great location. Super clean and top-notch amenities. A must stay.
