Southmoreland on the Plaza an Urban Inn

Great Place …better than advertised. We will stay there again. So close to Plaza!!

Excellent location. Charming. Very clean comfortable and nice decorations.

Property was great. Nice room with good amenities. Had one issue with another guest being very loud between 11pm-2am. Since no one on site, no way to work it out. Guess it's a gamble as to whether or not it will be a relaxing and enjoyable stay-depends on the other guests! Thankfully it was only one night of my stay.

Can't really call this a Bed and Breakfast anymore. While still a very cozy, warm environment, it lacks the "human touch". Miss the days when you could come down to Breakfast and spend time with the owners. Didn't even see a staff member the entire weekend.

Our room is on the 3rd floor, there is no elevator.

I was traveling for work and had the most peaceful and productive stay. Convenient location and simply lovely common spaces — indoor and out. The room was modest in size but comfortably appointed. I especially enjoyed the calming sounds of the fountain while sleeping and enjoying the autumnal views from the patio (pictured). Looking forward to my next stay!

Peaceful, convenient, & comfortable! Parking a pickup truck is challenging but doable.

We had a long drive for a morning medical apointment. Found a great Italian restaurant place a few blocks away . Made a great ending to a full day .

It was in a very congested and questionable neighborhood. Parking was difficult. The house common areas looked nice, but my room and all the room doors were banged up and dirty, as was my room. It was very dark and dusty, lampshades were dusty, old and broken. I couldn’t get hot water, the linens were tired and old, although bed linens were nice and bed was comfortable. The room had a strange smell that I think was coming from the air venting. I had booked two nights, and didn’t want to stay my second night, so I had to book a hotel elsewhere.

I loved this place - very non-traditional compared to standard hotel operations. I gave 3 stars for service only because it's self-service - I never had any actual interaction with staff during my stay, which I was fine with. Room was comfortable, wife loved the balcony overlooking the property. A very nice change of pace.
