Margaretville Mtn Inn B&B and Village Suites

Booked the Village Suite 1 room at this hotel expecting to stay at the hotel in the pictures, my husband and I went to the address and were told to go back into town by I guess the manager who seemed like our arrival was irritating and check into at the motel, went down to the motel and we’re told another address of our suite and that we could come back to the hotel for breakfast, which was cereal and bagels. Arrived at the final property and it was a first floor apartment of a 2 family house. Got inside and it could have been cleaner and the outlet in the bathroom did not work and was a safety hazard as it was a GFI outlet near water. There were no wash clothes and luckily we brought our own shampoos and such. There was a paper sign at said room service would not be provided until after day 3, we only had 2 nights booked so we had none. This was not what we expected and had paid for, would not recommend.

Cozy B&B for a 1-night stay. Outside of downtown Margaretville; however, it’s close enough for a nice run or long walk during warmer weather at daylight. Would consider it again if visiting the area.

We had to be in the area for a full weekend wedding celebration. The Margaretville Mountain Inn B&B filled the bill. Although a little off the beaten track, it provided a quiet location to rest up for each day's activities, and placed us about 20 minutes or so from the wedding venue in Roxbury. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, and provided a superb "to-order" breakfast. The room was a bit small, but adequate to our needs.

The rooms were clean and of course that is the most important factor but... WE signed up thinking we were booking a bed and breakfast. It was not until we showed up at the establishment to pick up our keys when we were informed that because we were staying at something called " The Suites" breakfast was not part of our experience. Everything in the descriptions of the property is for the Bed and Breakfast which is a completely different building and is no where near the building that houses "The Suites." These rooms are actually a two bedroom apartment with a full kitchen. Had we been informed about the no breakfast but that we would have a full kitchen we would have brought food ( especially as we arrived late and the grocery store was closed) . We were also under the impression that we booked 1 king size bed and 1 queen bed. Nope, in one bedroom there was the king but the other room had 2 twins. I had 2 conversations with an employee confirming yes. 1 king and 1 queen. small complaint but... lets be honest people. You are responsible for making your own bed, and washing any dishes you use. ( We have stayed in many B+B's and never had to make our own beds) the employee very nicely gave us a paper with the password for the free wifi. Unfortunately it didn't work. We wondered if she gave us the password for the wrong building. she also talked about a hottub. Never did find it.

Great location and nice vista views. Building is very elegant as are the rooms. The breakfast was also fine in a luxurious dining room hosted by the owner. Close to town for restaurants, shops, etc.

Our stay at MBB was beyond first rate. A most enjoyable and relaxing experience in every way.

My fiancé and I stayed in the main inn for two nights while waiting to close on a weekend house nearby. We enjoyed every minute of our stay! The owner, Carol, was fantastic! She keeps this beautiful historic home clean and welcoming, and serves up a delicious, made-to-order breakfast with a smile every morning. We stayed in the Emerald Room and found it very comfortable. It's the only room with its bathroom outside of the room, but we felt complete privacy and had no problems with the setup. Would absolutely recommend this B&B – we have every intention of putting our family up here (and in a few of Carol's other local places) during our upcoming wedding!

The property was beautiful! The inn keeper was amazing and accommodating. We were upgraded to a bigger room and given breakfast whenever we woke up. Everything was perfect for a nice relaxing weekend.

Great place to stay close to Plattekill Mountain, Belleayre and other Catskill area ski hills. Beautiful area of the state. Nice staff and good company.
