Adventure Inn

Always excellent! From airport arrival transport to departure, this hotel is wonderful. Friendly attentive staff. Quiet property. Clean. Comfortable. Delicious plentiful breakfast. Great in room coffee. I will always stay here my first night in Costa Rica. Relax & recharge. And, beautiful grounds and pool!

A fantastic stay as usual but what a WOW factor the breakfast has become. Excellent food, professionally presented. I understand the restaurant is under new management and it shows very positively. This is my 20th year coming to Costa Rica for the winter. It took me two years to find the Adventure Inn. Now my first and last stay always has to be The Adventure Inn. Friendly staff - ' never an issue that was not addressed immediately. And now a welcoming breakfast that definitely goes totally above and beyond expectations

Great Location in quiet area. Hotel is very relaxing. Love the handpainted work throughout the hotel and rooms. Great price that includes breakfast and airport transfer. Always clean. Love the friendly staff.

This hotel never stops amazing me. The staff is incredible and friendly. They go out of their way to make sure you are taken care of and have so many options at the hotel for your comfort. I don’t see myself staying anywhere else in San Jose ever! Thank you adventure inn!

I've stayed here multiple times and it's been a great experience every time! The staff is so friendly and takes care of everything for you. We especially loved the sweet bartender we had for our first and last nights at the hotel...she was just fantastic! She made me a Pina Colada so big I could have gone for a swim! Thanks for another great stay and we'll hope to see you soon!

Very late much like the setting and they just the old Costa Rican feel of the hotel. Very nice people considerate and helpful. Just really enjoyed my visit.

We stayed here for the final night of our honeymoon to be close to SJO for our return flight the following day. This is a lovely place, with a location that is a great combination of 1) extremely close to both Juan Santamaria and Tobias Bolaños airports but 2) outside of either airport’s flight corridors making noise negligible and 3) in the peaceful and safe neighborhood of Cariari. A great home away from home with clean and well appointed rooms, and the onsite Moon Glow Cafe serves good quality meals both for dinner and for complimentary breakfast. Complimentary shuttles to the airport are easy to reserve and make getting to either airport stress free.

The Adventure Inn is a treasure! The accommodations are wonderful, the order off the menu breakfast is the best we have had as a complimentary service. My son and his family took advantage of the family size rooms as well as the refreshing pool. We ate dinner in the restaurant and it was excellent. We stay here when arriving late into the airport and when taking an early flight out. The shuttle service is a great benefit. Once you stay here you will be a regular customer!

I have stayed at The Adventure Inn in San Jose, Costa Rica 5 times now and I highly recommend it. It is a small friendly hotel with loads of Costa Rican charm and very friendly staff. The rooms are very clean and comfortable and it is a quiet place with great value for the price.. The hallways and rooms are painted by local artists with flora and fauna of this beautiful country. There is a wonderful breakfast included in the room price with a buffet of fruit and sweets, great coffee and tea, and a choice of a hot breakfast as well. The Adventure Inn offers free transportation from the airport and back to the airport when you leave. It is a great place to use as "base camp" if you are visiting various different parts of Costa Rica as we just did. They also offer a very nice service of having a rental car company bring you a vehicle to the hotel and pick it up again when are ready to return it. It is much nicer than a big impersonal hotel.

Just old and run down. If you want a jumping off point from SJO one night wont kill you.
