Adventure Inn

Five star treatment every time! This was my second stay with the folks at Adventure Inn and it won't be my last. I am so grateful for the staff and their genuine hospitality. From Paula with her great smile, Spanish lessons, and answers to all of my reservation questions, to Jose helping us with our luggage and shuttle assistance, Natalia's fun personality each visit, and Pablo and Tyrone's delicious cocktails and welcoming each morning for breakfast. You won' forget Manfred's positive energy and great personality when asking any question about where to go, what to do and how to get there in Costa Rica. This time there were three of us and Adventure Inn has rooms to accommodate us with three beds. We had fresh towels each visit to the pool and for our room. Let's talk about the food!! Whether you're there for the breakfast that comes with your reservation (that is exceptional) with fresh fruit and several local dish choices, a DELICIOUS woodfire pizza, or a tasty dinner, you're sure to find something for everyone prepared by the cooks who take pride in their dishes. One of the highlights was Adventure Inn was able to let us leave our luggage when we toured the country for a few days. It was nice to have a "home base" for the things we didn't need to haul around, VERY convenient. Eric, the supervisor, also recommended a trusted bird-guide who is extremely knowledgeable and has his own transportation business allowing us to sit back and tour the country in comfort and safety (ask about Luis Barrantes). I just got home but I am already looking up flights to return and Adventure Inn is where I'll continue to lodge. Conveniently located a short distance from the airport, shuttle service, breakfast, WiFi, VERY clean rooms and grounds, discounts for cash customers, luggage drop-off, but most importantly, the BEST staff of any place I have stayed. Adventure Inn has been our go-to hotel for visits to Costa Rica for many years now. Safe & comfortable, we can always count on all their staff for excellent service, and always with a smile. Special shout-outs to Paula, Josaline, Viviana & Jose on the front desk, driver Jorge, and servers Pablo & Tyrone in the restaurant. They were all great to deal with. We also had the pleasure of meeting Chelsea who created many of the amazing paintings in the rooms & halls. Everything was great from airport shuttle to breakfast by the pool

Eric, and Staff Happy Sunday. Once again I want to compliment you and your staff for a safe and comfortable stay at the Adventure Inn. This time I arrived with my wife and our Spanish friend Maria and they echo my words. Our check in went smooth and the rooms were clean, neat and prepared on arrival. The reception staff was friendly, happy and helpful. The facilities such as the pool and jacuzzi are such added bonuses after a long drive to the city. Once again the meals were prepared well and delicious - thanks chef. The waiter who was on duty was a pleasure. He was kind, helpful.and always had a smile on his face. He spoke very well and his serving skills were a delight to watch and experience. We had a little trouble with our car upon departure and the person who was working on the desk immediately started looking for a solution to assist us. Thankfully we remedied the problem and made it home back to Nuevo Arenal without issue. Once again thank you for making our stay comfortable. Regards, Harry

The hotel had old school feelings - cozy, clean, and great staff. Our rooms were someone dated, but very clean and comfortable, it got us in the vibe of the area. Everyone who works there are so friendly and willing to help. My sister left her Kindle in her room and they called her to let her know. They held it for her to grab when we were leaving Costa Rica. In most of the hotels in the US, you would never see it again. We ate at the restaurant for a few meals. The food was fresh and tasty. Again the staff in the restaurant were fantastic. The hotel helped us get a rental car which made it so much easier than renting from the airport. They also allowed us to use the facilities when we returned the car and waited to go to the airport. It was nice to relax, enjoy the restaurant and get our last bit of Costa Rica hospitality before returning to the rat race. Highly recommend, it was the perfect start and finish for our trip.

Staff was very welcoming and helpful; they worked to accommodate our needs as we arrived later in the evening. And we tried to make a last minute booking during the day (before our evening departure to allow us to rest and get cleaned up), even thought they were booked, they suggested we come and use of their other facilities.

What a great suprise. This hotel was so charming upon arrival, and each detail I discovered only made it better. From the delightful, Manfred at reception, to my generous room, to the delcious breakfast. I felt so welcomed and safe. My room was spotlessly clean, very comfortable and the suite I was presented had a giant jaquzzi tub, which is a rare treat in the hotels I have stayed at all my years in CR. The custom painted tropical accents that adorn the entire hotel and it's rooms, are so bespoke and reinforce the connection to Costa Rica. This is not some cookie cutter hotel that you are not sure what country you are in. This is a true slice of Costa Rica. There are optional restaurants a short walk or drive away, and the convention center is also near. 15 minutes to the airport with the provided shuttle was also a plus. This one is on my list for my future stays when I arrive to CR! pura vida

Excellent stay. Very friendly & helpful staff. Great breakfast, especially the variety of fruit on offer. Bedroom was very spacious & comfortable. Ideal place to stay as shuttle available to and from Juan Santamaria International airport!

Really fun place with hand painted murals everywhere and even a koi pond inside. Some rooms only have interior windows but reminiscent of streets in European cities because of art and murals. Really nice staff. Food in their restaurant was really good.

We stayed at this hotel on our last night before flying home. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel and rooms were very clean and an extra bonus was the excellent coffee in the room. The wall paintings through out the hotel were nice and also the koi pond. We had dinner at the restaurant and the food and service was very good. We also thought the free breakfast was very good.
