Clarion Hotel Fort Mill Near Amusement Park

The age of their property is showing. One exterior exit door at a stairway base appeared to be rusted shut, and did not allow egress. Not sure how that passes fire code. At two of their entrances, the card reader is either missing or not functioning, thus preventing entry. The common areas were cleaner than I had seen on previous visits, and there are renovations underway. My room was clean and mostly functional. The iron board cover was detached. The coaxial cable connection was failing, and only worked after I reversed the connection.

Nothing good to say. Miserable place.

For the room and considering renovations going on, not bad! I’ll definitely give this a 3-3.5/5 stars, not bad at all. Location and convenience to the freeway is nice along with the price of the room, I think it was priced fairly (there is a $100 deposit as well, make sure to hand your key back to the desk when you check out to make sure you get it back👏🏾). Bed was comfortable, bathroom was clean, spacious room along with a little balcony. Unfortunately there were a couple downsides but nothing crazy or really that bad lol. There was a dead bug on my wall, moldy balconies, laundry machines were down due to renovation and the fitness center was closed still with the COVID sign. Overall I give it a 3/5 (6.5-7 / 10)

Do Not Stay Here. It is not a safe hotel, locks on doors don't work, bug infested… I was an idiot for booking it believing it would be OK from the pictures. No AC, very creepy people inside and outside of the building. We left within 5 mins of checking in and would have been happier sleeping in our car than this place. They have reviews dating back 15 years saying the same thing. This place needs to be bulldozed, probably got a disease just from stepping inside..
