The Heron Inn and Day Spa

The stay was a gift to our son and daughter in law and they loved it! They were disappointed the boat parade was canceled but walking around town was delightful! They would definitely recommend and come back for another stay.

It is very nice. The breakfast was great and owner was super welcoming. The views are amazing - you can see Baker from another room which I consider coming back for. Also nearby was a nice Thai place.

There was some noise at night I suspect from heating? It was a little annoying. I am used to street noise living in the city but still. Also location is a little off. I stayed last time in a hotel which was right next to shops so maybe I got too spoiled. It’s a good ten min walk.

Very lovely heritage inn with tastefully decorated rooms. Clean and comfy beds and so so quiet and lovely views of farm fields. Nice country executive flare and comfy laid back atmosphere. Cindy and Christine loved our stay. The heron stain glass windows a lovely touch. The backyard and garden and gazebos made you feel relaxed and at peace in a beautiful setting. I just want to point out our king blue room 31 with fireplace was lovely but the futon bed was a little lopsided when put it down to rest so couldn’t sleep on it as it seemed on a slight angle. Maybe check it out if we set it up properly or it needs adjusting. The breakfast very filling and good. But would have liked a bit more gourmet style as advertised on website with asparagus spears and egg triangle frittatas and home baked fruit scones or muffins and more fresh fruit apples pears bananas. etc But the scrambled eggs and sausages and pancakes we had were tasty too. Would have liked to have juice or muffins or scones or toast and jam to complement the breakfast. But overall was a superb stay. The host was very accommodating and helpful and easy going and fun the chat to at breakfast. We will definately be back soon but hope the exchange rates are better as quite expensive for us from Vancouver Canada. Loved your heron country inn and enjoyed our stay. This is a lovely place to stay in a pretty town. Highly recommend

We had originally planned to spend a weekend in May 2025. Family issues caused us to cancel at the last minute. Olin was so nice as to give us a credit that we used this last weekend. The Inn is near enough to the downtown area for a little stroll to the waterfront and shops. It is quaint and very well maintained. The room (Number 22) was well appointed, maintained and comfortable. Breakfast was delightful; served promptly and very tasty (coffee was great!). We had massages and they were not only affordable but fabulously relaxing. We would recommend this spot as a weekend get away or an anytime mini-extravagance.

It was so beautiful and comfortable. The couples massage was really incredible. Breakfast was great and fresh fruit. Made for a perfect birthday gift.

We liked that the owner was there at the property. Serving Breakfast, cleaning room etc. Very friendly and very relaxing..great massage as well. Were coming back. Besy B&B we stayed at in the last 3 years..highly recommend this location.

We always have a great time when we come to The Heron. This time we had some spa time and both had a great relaxing massage. Great food in the local town too. Nell thorn has the best food in town. Breakfast at the Heron was great.
