"Great but super firm bed"

Overall wonderful location, continental breakfast better than expected, charming rooms. King size bed was very hard in room 2. Definitely in need of replacement.

"Normales Motel in guter Lage. Leider zu teuer."

Das Merritt House Hotel hat eine sehr gute Lage in Monterey, von hier kann man alle gängigen Tourismusorte erreichen. Zwei Blocks weiter in der Alvarado St. gibt’s eine Reihe von Restaurants und Shoppingmöglichkeiten. Unser Zimmer war sehr dunkel und zur Straße hin. Grundsätzlich war alles sauber. Einrichtung schon etwas in die Jahre bekommen, auch im Badezimmer. Die Betten waren bequem. Die Fotos im Internet sind etwas irreführend. Das Hauptbild ist ein Nachbargebäude, das Hotel ist direkt daneben. Es gibt nur eine bestimmte Anzahl von Parkplätzen, wenn man Pech hat, dann sind die alle besetzt und man muss ein paar Blocks entfernt an der Straße parken (in bestimmten Straßen darf man auch nur 1-2std an der Straße stehen) . Parkplatz am Hotel wird auch mit 20$/Nacht berechnet.

Ich hatte mir von den Fotos mehr versprochen. Der Preis ist definitiv zu teuer für das, was geboten wird. Es ist ein völlig normales Motel.

Great room that was HUGE! (Honeymoon Suite). Loved the antiques. Parking was very tight and limited is the only negative. Great convenient location to all the downtown restaurants and wharf.

Very good value stay. Room was comfortable, tasteful and clean. Breakfast was limited, but decent, especially as it is included in the stay. Only thing missing was a safe.

Location was very convenient, we parked our car when we checked in and didn’t use it again until we checked out! We walked and or took the free trolley to the wharf and cannery row. We brought our e-bikes and rode for miles and miles along the coast in either direction. The property was well maintained and the staff were all friendly and helpful!

The Merritt House Hotel was beautiful and quaint. The employees were very cordial. The rooms were gorgeous. The seagulls do not sleep. The fireplace and skylight put a beautiful touch on the room as well. We could have used a microwave in the room but we loved it.
