"Nice people but no room reserved for us."

The hotel did not have our room reserved. We initially booked a room through Bookings for August 13th and 14th. We subsequently changed the dates to the 11th and 12th of August. Bookings confirmed the change but it apparently did not coordinate the change with the hotel. Fortunately, they still had a room available but it was clear why this room was still available. I think they store mops and brooms in it when not occupied. We paid for the room directly with Merritt House. It seems that someone dropped the ball on coordinating the change of dates.

Nice little room, clean and complete. Very friendly staff (they brought a bag I forgot during check in). Good location.

The photos are a bit misleading, this is a building which is not part of the hotel where guests stay. The rooms are in a motel-like building in the back.

Lovely room, friendly and welcoming hostess. Stayed one night. Walkable to the wharf and Golden State Theater. Vibrant neighborhood. Quiet. Only one negative. It was stated that there is plenty of street parking. Most parking on street is 1-2 hours Monday through Saturday until 6p. Hotel provided some limited parking for $20 per night. Will be coming back
