Pavlo Napa Beach Hotel

When our bus arrived, the reception was only staffed with one single non-enthusiastic guy. No "Welcome!", no smile just "Next please". One single person working the reception when a bus unloads new guests is not the most efficient check-in. The receptionist mapped out how to get to our room and why he insisted that the best way was through the underground maze and not going in a straight line above ground is beyond me. Throughout our entire stay I don't think that any staff in the reception bothered to say good morning or even hello. The most I got was a lovely smile at one time. The room was clean. Really really clean. Like overwhelming smell of disinfection kind of clean. There was even a seal on the toilet that said "DISINFECTED" and that made me wonder what unspeakable horror had taken place in the bathroom. We opened the balcony door and ventilated for a while and got rid of the smell. The room was really nice. The only channel that worked on the tv was the hotels info channel but who watches tv on a vacation anyway? Could have used an iron and an ironingboard but other than that the room was really nice with a very nice balcony. The pool area was excellent. The pool/towel guy seemed to really like his job.He was friendly and positive towards all the guests and he treated the entire poolarea as if it was his baby. I really liked the sunbeds and the possibility to choose shade or sun. I liked the pool too. Even I, who thinks every body of water is too cold, could get in the pool with ease even though it’s not heated. There's also a very very nice beach just below the pool. People talk about Nissi beach and how fantastic it is. I'll take the beach at the hotel any day of the week. No crowd, no beachbums just people enjoying themselves. The pool bar is good as long as you stick with beer. Good beer, polite staff and absolutely undrinkable drinks. I tried the Gin fizz and I swear it tasted like kerosene. I simply could not drink it. We tried another the day after just to make sure that it wasn't a fluke but it was just as bad. This is by far the worst drinks I've ever had in any all inclusive-deal. Others tried them but I never saw anyone go back for seconds. It is also the first all inclusive-deal that I’ve ever come across that does not include a simple gin and tonic. We tried the Erato bar. The drinks here were drinkable albeit not good. They were extremely sweet, maybe to cover up the taste of kerosene? The dining room is nice and there’s a lovely terrace if you want to eat outside by the pool. Every drink (even juice) must be ordered from the staff. I recommend that you sit down and order drinks before going to get food. The guy who takes the drinks order is not the same guy who serves the drinks so they always mess up the drink orders. You can only order one drink per person at a time. If you want a refill, it'll take a while since you need to catch someones attention and they have to order the drink and another guy has to bring it to the table. The food is, well, very all-inclusive. No beef, plenty of bone dry chicken, there is always something that does not go with anything else and the redwine sauce doubled as gravy and boeuf bourguignon. Surprisingly little to choose from. Every night was a different theme night. but the food didn’t really differ that much. The fries were always good though and one evening we got wonderful, tender and juicy chicken skewers but they never made it back to the menu. You get one free lunch (why lunch?) in the pool bar but because of the quality of the food we never bothered with that. The snack bar is not really a snack bar. It is sitting down in the restaurant between meals and order from a snackmenu. We used the snack bar once on the day we were leaving. In hindsight I wish I would have used it more often. The food was pretty good. All in all, there's room for improvement in the food department and if the "local gin" was replaced with anything even resembling gin it would be a big improvement but other than that I really liked the hotel.

L'emplacement parfait. Pleins de restaurants autour, des bus, pas loin a pied de Nissi Beach que je recommande. Piscine grande et bien entretenue, toujours des transat dispo, plage a proximité immédiate de l'hôtel très belle et intime (peu fréquentée). Mention spéciale au bar restaurant (smoothie incroyable et de vrais milkshake banane waouh). On a adoré notre séjour. Notre hôtel préféré de notre road trip. De loin! Petit déjeuner très varié. Buffet a volonté disponible le soir avec des thématiques variées.

Un homme a la réception pas professionnel. Ne lève pas les yeux quand on passe, comme l'impression de le déranger constamment. Je ne réduis pas la note car excepté lui tout le personnel est serviable souriant professionnel et sympathique.

Once again we have returned for our 6th visit this time with 4 of our adult children aged 20 to 26. We are currently on holiday and they are having such fun relaxing in the hotel during the day and clubbing in Aiya Napa at night so much so they all want to come back with us next year lucky us 😬 x in all seriousness we find it hard to go anywhere else now. Staff Timmi and her team, Marianna Activities and all the restaurant and bar staff are exceptional the food excellent something for everyone and facilities and beach on your doorstep. The property from the beginning was very clear, good view and everything was new, beach was perfect, staff was very friendly, food was very delicious, swimming pool was also good.

Every day, the workers were cleaning the property, but it was still dirty. On the first day, there was sand left in the bed from the beach, and they only fixed the bed instead of changing the sheets. The cup was broken and wasn’t replaced, and even after I asked them to clean, some pieces of glass were still left in the apartment. They only cleaned the very visible areas, but overall the room they “cleaned” was still dirty. The towels that the hotel provided for the swimming pool and beach smelled very, very bad. Please change the cleaning method.

We are currently staying in the hotel, here for our usual ten day stay in May, we also come towards the end of the year too before the British winter sets in. We have stayed in all room types here over the years and all are lovely, if you fancy a treat book a suite with lovely views over the beach. The hotel is clean, well kept. Staff are friendly and food is great. Sometimes we eat out if we fancy a change of scene, or if we are out of the hotel. There is a snack menu between scheduled service times which can be useful if not in the hotel at meal times. We find the beds very comfortable and the rooms well appointed. Entertainment is low key, we like that as we also enjoy relaxing in the evening if we don’t fancy a raucous night. There are some daytime activities if you fancy it but usually we just relax our days away by the pool which have lovely comfy loungers (and plenty of them) Speaking of raucous nights/days, if it’s your thing try Castle Club on the strip or the foam party on Nissi beach down the road (short walk) we are in our 50s and always have a great time at those and never feel out of place :D We have been coming here as a couple for 15 years and our children now come with their children, it really feels like a home to us. We have never had a bad experience here, it’s a lovely family run, friendly place, on the beach, away from all the noise but within easy reach of everything if you want a faster pace. It really is a lovely location. Please, please come to Cyprus, the island IS safe, despite what the press might tell you.
