Econo Lodge Valdosta Mall Area

The photos of this property are inaccurate. This hotel is run down, unclean and unsafe. There is no sliding lock on our door, the lamp heads are held on by zip ties, carpet is disgusting, rust on bathroom door frame, dirt on walls, holes in bedding and it has an overwhelming scent. Very overpriced for this condition.

Booked a room post hurricane, only to be told that there was no electricity so we couldn’t check in. I asked what would happen, since I had already paid for the room. I was told to contact Expedia and then they would call the hotel to verify, so I could get my money. However, when I followed those steps was I denied my refund. Also on an important note a worker from there told us that it was better that way, since they have bedbugs.

Strong odor in bathroom

There was no reservation when we arrived. The room was cancelled by econo lodge because they were overbooked.

The carpet was very dirty and the rooms smelled like dog's pees and feces. The worst ever hotel I have ever been to. I booked for multiple nights, but I ended up checking out the next morning and booked at a different hotel.

Smelled like a marijuana dispensary. So many people walking about the parking lot at 2-3am being loud. Some looking in cars. The floors abs furniture were filthy. Bugs in and around lights and window. On several occasions there were random puddles in the floor of unknown origin. The “breakfast” is a selection of cereal or toast. Waffle maker but it was not clean. No juices, just milk and coffee.

We did not stay at the hotel, Econo Lodge. There was not a functioning pool, as advertised, the room smelled like a cigarette, and the hotel clerk was not very helpful.

Check was easy and rooms were clean. It was convenient to shopping as well. Staff was very helpful.

Good breakfast. Big bedroom and bathroom. Room cold 65°. No working heater. No overhead lighting. Although a non-smoking room I was overwhelmed with fragrance.
