Fairfield Inn & Suites Ukiah Mendocino County

Very good

Quick one night stay on our way to the Redwoods County. The hotel is conveniently located close to 101 Freeway, many eating options and across te street is a Walmart to get whatever you forgot to bring for your trip The room was clean (little dated but all functional), HVAC worked perfectly, free parking, and included complimentary breakfast. The windows in the room opened so it was a plus for us (COVID concern) Staff was friendly and helpful. We will definitely consider staying at this hotel again.

Just traveling through & needed a place to sleep. It was clean, easy on/off freeway access, quiet. Service was not overly friendly but okay. Decent place to put my head for a night.

Hotel and staff were nice. Check-in was easy. Room was clean and nice. But breakfast was pretty bad. Coffee was good but food itself was pretty pathetic.

No surprises. Clean & efficient. Breakfast was pretty good & well stocked.

Comfortable

The beds were comfortable as was the temperature and the bathroom was a good size, but the room perks end there. The pillows were lumpy, the water pressure was almost non-existent and the bathroom door squeaked badly. There were limited available outlets due to the excessive number of room electronics. The walls were thin and we could hear the cars outside, especially in the morning (not a problem unless the drivers were rude, and they were, needlessly revving engines). Breakfast was available but extremely limited and not very good. There was only one poor soul manning it even when it got busy. I will say that the employees were kind and professional, so whatever complaints I may have are not on them.

My sister and I needed to get away for a night. I’ve stayed at Fairfield Inn’s before. They are clean, comfortable, and quiet and that’s true for this Fairfield Inn. I have a service dog and had no problem with bringing him in. I didn’t like that the heavier curtains didn’t close and there was a neon Hampton Inn sign outside our window. The remote control didn’t work well — could be the batteries. Overall we liked the places

I tend to use mostly Marriott affiliated properties and called about this Fairfield property to use as a base for two nights in order to arrive from Napa and Sonoma Wine Country, get a good night's rest, then travel up into the Avenue of the Giants the next day, then back to the hotel for our second night, before departing for Monterey and Big Sur. Clean. Modern. Sanitized for Covid. Excellent! The location is fantastic! There's modern shopping, service stations, fast food restaurants, and a Walmart--all within a half mile of the hotel. And it's just one block off Hwy 101. Super convenient for everything...and provides a perfect location between wine country and the redwoods of Humboldt County. Management was friendly, helpful, and extremely accommodating! Perfect for any trip to wine country, coastal highway, or heading north to the Humboldt Redwoods! Five Stars! *****
