Beautiful place that is well maintained with incredibly friendly staff

Great Namibian experience. Excellent staff including enthusiastic guides (Paulus was great). Taste of food (especially the meat) just better than what you get at home. It is a 20 min drive to the park entrance. With 12 lodges there is a sense of calmness and personal touch. Day in Sossusvlei was well set up with surprising lunch.

Absolutely wonderful desert property, made all the rough roads worth it. The staff really goes out of their way to make you feel welcome and our guide was very well informed. Luxury experience in the desert. Would highly recommend Hoodia Lodge.

We loved our stay at Hoodia. The property is beautifully designed and even more beautifully situated. The lovely pool was a very welcome respite from the heat of the desert. Paulus was a great guide for sundowner and our excursion to Sossusvlei. The food was tasty, healthy and fresh and we especially loved our luxurious picnic under the trees in Sossusvlei.

The rooms in this lodge are a bit smaller than the ones we’ve stayed in elsewhere (although there’s still plenty of room) and the air conditioner struggled a bit to cool the room down completely in the desert heat.

Beautiful location and very nice lodges. Very friendly staff and delicious food. Especially our guide Lucas was great, he knew a lot about history Namibia and about life in the desert, for example he found a very small hole in the sand and that seemed to be a white spider house. Also his lunches and sundowner were very special. We will remember this as "Lucas's restaurant". We can recommend this lodge 100%.
