April Point Resort

Hotel CLOSED and for sale! Do not book here! Why it's still listed here is baffling. Listing should be removed immediately.

NOT OPEN! Hasn’t been opened for a year but they still had an Expedia listing. We had 2 reservations and after driving 2 hours and taking the ferry (with my 10 month old baby) we showed up but the place was closed. I have confirmation and reminder emails leading up to the check in day. The owners are trying to blame it on Expedia and even if it is Expedias fault the owners could not care less about the extreme inconvenience. They are not doing anything to make our situation right, despite me being a former employee of the resort and a regular guest every single year for past 10 years. The property is a mess and it’s extremely disappointing they have let it go so badly. It’s going to need a ton of work to get back to an operational level. It looks like they are taking bookings for 2026 but I wouldn’t trust that at all. EXTREMELY poor service.

CLOSED! This resort is closed do not book here! Watched a piece on the LOCAL news TODAY that said Expedia allowed them to book AND provided reminders. CUSTOMERS showed up and it was closed! Owner when contacted told them it was an Expedia issue. Expedia provided only a partial refund. Customers trying to get into the building were told it has been closed for over 1 year and they were not the only ones that have experienced locked up building.

the worst place to go in the world, the new operator , Peter Liu and Vivian Li who is the worst cheater , I strongly suggest not to book this hotel. dirty and old, those operators are very rude

This is the worst experience. I booked through Booking.com for three nights. Booking.com took the money in full on May 23rd. A week later, I received a message from the resort that they have decided to wait to reopen and apologized for the inconvenience. They didn’t cancel my reservation though which would be an automatic refund. I had to cancel. Booking.com refuses to return my money without a cancelled waiver from April Point and April Point is not answering their phones as it continues to go to voicemail. I have sent emails and left many messages to no avail. Meanwhile, Booking.com has deleted our email conversation stating I need to reach them by phone or chat. I was on the phone for 30 minutes and no one picked up. I went on the chat and due to the length of the message, I was suspended. I had asked them to read the April Point message that I received as they received it too but they are refusing to acknowledge this. What a mess! Furthermore, we drove by the April Point Resort last night (when we were supposed to checkin) in hopes of talking with someone. The entire site is locked up, grass is growing 20” high and it looks abandoned. As well, there is a sign on the door that says …..closed for the 2024 season. See you in 2025. ….. however, there is no indication that they are anywhere near opening. Why is April Point advertising for rooms at all?! This feels like one big scam!

Location was amazing.

Rooms were a little dated and very lacking in atmosphere. Even though we were at the end of the season everything had shut down which was a shame. No restaurant so no dinner or breakfast.

Water not drinkable and only tiny bottles of water provided. Room was dated and there was construction noise early in the morning. Resort is not walking distance to anywhere useful.
