Ramada by Wyndham Newburgh/West Point

Pretty average for a tired older property. The reception desk was like Fort Knox, not a pleasant welcome. The room was clean but very tired, with broken furniture, a rusty tub, and a squeaky, worn-out mattress. Still okay for a quick one-night stop.

The paint was chipping on the walls, the furniture was filled with chips and peels, the shower tub was cracking and had a big burnt mark, the couch and chair offered by the bed and table was stained. The receptionists tried to tell me that my card was declined even though I booked it through expedia, she then didn’t mention why my card was declined but just gave me the keys to the room I was staying in. I never once gave her a card for her to charge and my card on file was through Expedia and Apple Pay so that was weird almost felt like she way trying to scam me. Either way the pictures are misleading and outdated. Definitely won’t return to this place

The room was acceptable.

The was 6 cars in the parking and the hotel parking lot next door was full. The front door glass was broken. The front desk looked like it had bullet proof glass around it. The hallway to our room had buckets to catch water. There is painters tape on the doors for number. There were 2 sets of towels for 4 people, asked for more they said they had none. Needed to use the public bathroom in the morning had to ask for a key, inside a sealing tile was laying on the floor, looked like it was there for years and there was no hand soap or paper towels. This place smelled like majarina.

A tired place. But the sheets were clean and the shower was hot.

The numbers on the doors were affixed by blue painters tape and a sharpie marker. The whole place smelled like mold with parts of the ceiling caved in and brown in the hallway. The outside door to the hallway was broken and anyone could come in. The beds were old and terrible. There was a huge crack in front door. There was no food or coffee. The workers ignored my request to pay with two credit cards. It was terrible and I will never go there again.

Booked this room last minute. Upon pulling into the parking lot, we saw two police cars leaving the premises. There was a man parked in front of the entrance, relieving himself next to a car. We pulled around the back parking lot to turn around and there was 4-5 men drinking and sitting on top of their cars. We felt very unsafe and did not want to stay there with our young children. I called the property, no answer. I left a message through Expedia, no answer. I contacted Expedia to get a refund and the property denied it because I didn’t walk into the lobby. I called multiple times and left messages, I did not want to take that risk of parking my car and walking into the establishment. I’m a young woman in my 30s with 3 kids.
